Right? Is it the same thing? Or aggressive means protecting your hand?

No it's not.
I'm sure someone much more experienced than myself could explain it better, but the simple answer is no aggressive is not the same as bluffing.
Aggressive means not slow playing your hands.
As someone said in your other thread read some books. I didn't put real money into a site until I had read three books. I'm still working my way through The Theory of Poker, if there was ever a book written like stereo installation instructions this one is it.

A standard bluff is when you bet or call with any 2 cards then bet again to represent a big hand in the hopes everyone will fold.
Aggression is where you bet to protect your bigger hands from being out drawn and to get more into the pot, generally your hoping for one caller with this sort of hand who has a lesser kicker or such

I dont believe bluff = aggressive i bluff but im not aggressive i might spend half an hour or more before a bluff waiting till ive won a few consectutive hands and have a good read on what everyone has in the hand im about to bluff on

Aggresive players tend to bluff more cause they enter more pots and raise more with lower hands but aggresive players not always bluff so it means aggresive not equal to bluff. and surely bluffs can come from not aggresive players as mentioned in the post above me

Loose play is not aggressive play being in more pots is not aggressive play. Aggressive play is betting your hands strong after flop when you think you are the best.

Bluffing is betting with a worse hand with the intention of getting your opponent to fold a better hand.
Bluffing is an aggressive move but it is not "aggression"
Also aggression has nothing to do with how many hands you play. The number of hands you play makes you either tight or loose. That is why players are described as Tight Aggressive, or Loose passive. The descriptions indicate how many hands they are likely to play and how they will act post flop.

Well said Steveg. Someone in a post (can't remember who) said to bet and bluff to never see the river. Win the pot right there. I liked it.

I thought being aggressive was raising all the time. Then loose aggressive was raising all the time while bluffing? I may be wrong... but yea I find aggresive bluffing works great on heads up made around 50$ last night on pokerstars on $5 heads up tables.

bluff doesn't necessarily mean aggressive. There are plenty of other times. When you become desperate you tend to start bluffing on a lot of hands. But also knowing when other players show weakness and you have a chance to take down a pot, that's not being aggressive by any means. Thats just playing smart.

Heads up is a different animal. You have to play far more hands and far weaker hands will win. Bluffing becomes far more important.
