HI,
I've been playing poker for over 40yrs. now, but my online experience has only been approx. 6mos. Up to this point I've been playing mostly sng's and Mtt's but am now believing I need to make a transition to playing on the cash tables (actually gettin' tired of the short run, so many suckouts,etc... .and would rather be playin' on the cash table cuz I seem to keep gettin' my chips in with the best but am gettin' KO'd often by garbage).
I'm interested in grabbing a poker book that might be geared toward playin' the internet cash game (cash game in general but 'internet related'.. even better).
I've heard that Harrington's new book is excellent. Any other's??
tks.

harrington's new book is great just finishing vol1. i liked the video's daniel nagranu put on youtube, about his lowball play, as he called it, shows how lag players think.

best book i have read

i think that the best book to read for online and live poker in zen and the art of poker. i teaches you the part of poker you really can't learn from anyone but yourself and you really have to read a book to explain it the right way. highly recommended. great read. not to long either. let me know what you think.

Thank-you 'aliengenius',.. nice selection there for me to check out. Just what I was after,.. perfect!
Must say my enthusiasm for tourney play was partially re-ignited today, as I decided to play in the Cardschat $1 buy-in on Stars (i've only entered two of them before, entered late and had other stuff going on at the time,.. not a good time to play for sure,.. one I went out the very first hand I played as I picked up a big blind special and hit two pr. on the flop (with a 9-3o) so overbet the pot but got raised, so reraised by midpr. Fired again on turn, he hit his set on river if I recall correctly. Out in last 'd.f.l.' dead freak'n last, lol.
Tonight was far cooler as I squeeked out a 2nd,.. yahoozie, lol. Was a 10:1 dog goin' into heads-up then swung it around to bein a 50K to 10K advantage,.. but then went out on two big hands (yah,. .he hit his set,.. the phucker, lol).
Now I'm lookin' forward to playin' in the next one,... .or two... or three.....

Going to break into the cash game,... and also considering some HORSE as well. yah.. some new enthusiasm,... hit it from a different angle,.. hopefully a predominantly 'winning one', lol.

Tks again for info. alien,.. excellent!
