Books on Tournament Poker

Hey guys. I got a request from you guys. I'm a cash game player, as that's what I started with like most people here did I would think. Now, I want to extend my game play to big tournaments, but don't have the sharpest Tournament game.
I know all the basic rules of playing Tournament Poker but want to get much further in depth with it. So I was wondering, if you guys could offer me some of the advanced books they have on Tournament Poker.

Also, it would be really cool if any of the big Tournament Poker players here on CardsChat would be willing to take 10 minutes or so and have a conversation with me, giving a few tips/secrets if possible.

Harrington on Hold'em are the only books I've read but they are really good so I'd reccomend you get those. You probably have some knowledge of the concepts of tournament poker but he does a really good job of explaining it in depth.

Full Tilt Poker Stategy Guide "Tournament Edition" was pretty good.

For tournament play, read Harrington on Hold em Volumes 1,2 and 3 (in that order).

I would have to agree here

throw in phil gordon's bookset as well.

As the others have said, Harrington on Holdem is the usual starting point.

After those, I would suggest "The Poker Tournament Formula" by Arnold Snyder.

Harrington advocates a tight style, where Snyder`s approach is more loose-aggressive. There is a lot to be said for taking something from each.

The 3 volume Harrington on Hold'Em set is widely considered the best NLHE tourny books out there.

Just be sure you don't pick up his brand new cash game books thinking you are getting the tourney ones!

Heh, I already got and read the new ones long time ago =P
Thanks guys for the books. I choose to play the Harrington style, TAG in tournaments, but loosen my play up in the middle and just call/raise the blinds with hands I normally wouldn't when I play TAG.

Now, any strong tournament players feel like mentoring me for 10 minutes-ish? =P Would be greatly appreciated!
