I am completely in hibernation. In the span of almost 3 months now, I barely participate in any games here or on PokerStars or GGPoker where I used to play. While away from poker, I just do the usual, nothing extraordinary 😁

I do not play poker online when on vacation, and only play live poker in our regular Las Vegas trips (usually twice a year). In the past, I have taken breaks from poker due to health issues. There were a couple of times, I voluntarily stopped playing online poker and returned to reading books for entertainment.

I only play for hobby, so, when I'm tired of the game I just take a break and don't play for days (or few weeks). But if you are a professional player, you definitely need to take regular breaks and/or plan a vacation 1 or 2x per year.

You can take a break , small or bigger , call ot a day or a week or more if you need . Especially after many bad beats and bankroll failures , a break is essential .

I promised myself that if I won over $10,000 in 1 calendar year, I would fly to Amsterdam for 1 week. Unfortunately, the borders are closed, there is a war in my country, and I couldn't even be close to reaching this goal in 2024. So vacations are a luxury for me.

I like to take breaks when there are no scheduled games of interest, and I don't mind missing a few tournaments if I feel exhausted in any way.

Also trying not to force too many games on myself, as I will definitely lose the spark somewhere and play sloppy from fatigue... Therefore I wouldn't be able to score a nice win and fly to Hawaii with the family

... or would I..? Can dream 🤭

I am currently on a break. My plan is to play poker professionally again when my CardsChat account reaches platinum level. I do this so as not to worry about my bankroll, since normally I would have to gradually recover my money.

I don't play that much, so there is no question of any fatigue from playing in my case. I play about 4-5 days a week, 4-5 hours a day, so I have nothing to get tired of. But I know for sure that sometimes you need to take breaks, even from your favourite hobby. I usually relax at home, on the sofa, watching new films and TV series.

I take a break 2-3 days a week. I don't take a break from poker, I just have other things to do and that's the main reason for the break
