I really love the way that online poker tourneys hold the start of the breaks until all tables have completed their hand. The live ones I've played have a ten or fifteen minute break that begins even when you might still be in a hand. That cuts down on the time you have for visiting the rest room, having a smoke, or anything else you choose to do.

So far as the smoking goes, when I visit Vegas I just walk the 50-100 feet to a video poker machine, light up, and play for a bit until the break is ending. However, here in New England I have to take a considerable hike to a smoking area that is usually outdoors. This takes time to get there, relax a bit, and then time to get back to the table.

That's me, but whatever you choose to do during break with a live game , the time to do it is cut short by the way they begin the break.
