Stupid chart doesn't want me to play .25/.50 limit

Hi - I don't play many ring games, and have a question. When the chart refers to your buy-ins for ring games, do you buy in with the min, max, or somewhere in between? Is there a good reason for doing one or the other?

All of those charts are referring to the max buy-in for the table (100 times the big blind)

My "system" for .25/.50 limit, or even .50/$1 limit doesn't really follow the chart, although I'm actually BRed for it. I go to the table with 30BB- $15 at.25/.50 or 30 at .50/1. If I ever get in a situation where I would lose it all (which has never happened yet), that's it for that day. Conversely, if I double my table stake, I hit and run. Now, I may move to another table later, but that's my rule. I'm not getting wealthy playing it this way, but it's been working out well. Since New Years eve, my ring game play has profited me $150 in parts of 9 days. Actually more like 7; I've stayed away 2 complete days, and only played less than an hour on 2 others.

It's sort of a baby steps approach to growing my BR, but hey, I mostly got nowhere else to go. Plus, I take time out to play a MTT of some sort nearly every day (3 final tables so far this month).

Well BRM really isn't a strict thing unless your bankroll actually means something to you (financially), and/or if you play professionally and depend on your bankroll for living purposes. If you're a recreational player, there's really nothing wrong with breaking the rules a little bit here and there except for the fact that you'll probably be more prone to tilt and losing your bankroll
