He won't answer you, he has been banned for a while now, one of his first ever posts was that he was the greatest poker player.

You could not have put it any better. Each person has their likes and dislikes, their talents and their weakness, their bank and maybe can't afford much. What is right for one may be wrong for another. Just play your best, be as strong as possible and try not to harm anybody by name calling, stereo-typing or just plain being nasty to others. Poker is an awesome game and we should all enjoy it.

Draw a line in the sand why don't you! IQ related to what game you play? Just about the time you think you heard it all they crawl from under a rock. See the OP was banned, who do we tip for that?

Like a number of replies here, I must also be a complete brainless moron for playing in tournaments instead of cash games.
Please help this poor brainless moron, please explain to all of us brainless dummies, when all these professional poker players play in these nose bleed buy-in’s min 100K – 1 Million dollar tournaments, I guess in your world they also are to be considered brainless and stupid.

One Question: What colour is the sky in your world?

you dont need much of a brain to be a good poker player lol, think average is fine (114 iq is basically average anyway) prob even slightly below average is ok think what an underated skill is as or for a poker player is emotional control.... as for cash games being better than tournaments i agree in sense you can realise your edge if you have one quicker whereas tournaments its dependant heavily on table you sat at and the player pool as a whole and for the tournament to be valueable... you got rate youself as better skill wise than the vast majority of individuals in that tournament to make playing that tournament a worthwhile proporsition in the long run, same with cash games you aways wanna sit at tables where you feel you got an edge skill wise on opposition otherwise your just gambling (and after 20-40mins online you should know have an idea if you do or not).the variance in tournaments its mindboggling so say you played live tournaments i think its totally possible to be a good player and not cash one for ****ing ages even if play quite alot of them as for cash games even live think as long as you got a skill edge its unlikely you can have a losing year if you get enough hours play in, similar thing with omaha actually variance in thats crazy you can be getting it in alot with the mathematical edge and get sucked out on alot (as depending on the earlier action there call may be say breakeven call pott odds wise if forces someone else out the pot and yours a plus ev move but yh omahas great in sense there can be alot of action from bad players but also soul crushig when your not running good, theres alot of luck in poker so takes a long time to realise your edge if you have one so best thing aanyone can do is not think about it too much much play for fun try play profitably and try to continuingly improve your strategy and game and DONT TILT...

Yes, in the cash game you can win good money during a short time if you are good at playing and you have a normal bankroll, but you can also play and win tournaments, but it takes a long time to play in tournaments!

You are right in what you have posted mi friend. Yes, I think cash games are more appealing than tournaments, because you can win, or you can lose big amounts in a short time.

That is not true since in cash games the winrate is calculated in bb/100 and you should have a big enough amount of BIs for the level You play at.
Only If You have $1k and You enter a single table with all your money then yes losing or winning is considered a big amount of money. But if You got 100k and enter with 1k then winning or losing is calculated over a much higher sample then what can happen in just 1 hand [emoji14]
Both cash and mtts are hard enough. You need to be smart to win at poker in any format so the op is pretty wrong too in his statement. But again both need a big enough sample to see how good you are.

If you are brainless heee haww player who needs single table intense action then tournaments are better for you.

If you have brain and IQ of around minimum 114 let's say, you will definitely be seeing the benefit of cash games.

In limited number of hands, with ever increasing stakes making it harder and harder to afford an increase in spending, you are up against variance and luck in a forced sense in tournaments.

In cash games being unlucky will not make you lose money overall if you are truly on a legit algorithm-dealing site playing 3 tables or so at once with full focus on the plays you are making etc. Your 'downswings' will be rare as they will be when the odds based on your psychological read of the other player and raw stats read of the cards led you to make a move that will most of the time profit you to a large degree.

Sure, you can play tricky and even a little loose if you truly want to make it clear you're not a bot and are ready to outplay the TAG nits which CG tables are full of, but never loose your head completely. The point of being looser than the average nitty shark is to make THEM lose their mind.

With tournaments you can never risk because there and then ti can all be over in that one unlucky hand at the end despite all the good moves and profit you made thus far i the tournament.
I don't know if the tournaments players are less smart than the cash tables players but it's a sure thing that tournaments players risk more with weak hands or even worst they go all in with crappy hands sometimes; these things usually doesn't happen at cash tables; probably the tournaments players don't realize they play for real money because they have on table only chips that's why they risk more:D.

I also think that deepstack cash games are harder than MTT, but insulting players who play other formats is rudeness. I see that you have been properly banned.

Hello.
Cash games for me are very complicated. Tournaments I manage to play better. In addition, in cash games, I usually get a loss.

Hi.
Recently, I have no luck in cash games.
I have lost a lot of money, so at this time, I play only in tournaments.
Good luck.

The title of your post is pretty unfair and close-minded. Your basically calling tournament players stupid.

While you are correct that tournament players do experience downswings more often due to higher variance, they also experience way bigger upswings when luck goes in their favor.

It's really a matter of preference. If you enjoy cash games and/or find them more profitable then play cash games. If you enjoy tournaments and/or find them more profitable then play tournaments.

Some cash game players find that they suck at tournaments and vice versa. Play what works for you, but don't insult the intelligence of people who prefer a different type of game.

If you find that your not very profitable in tournaments then chances are you're either using crappy bankroll management(mtts require at least 2x as many buyins), or you don't have a good understanding of the tournament dynamics. You can't play a tournament like you play a cash game, and if you do so you're going to be a losing player 100%.

I am apparently not good enough of a player to notice any big difference between cash play and tournaments. When I go on vacation and play live poker, I usually play cash because you can play for one hour or two. Tournaments take much longer if you go far.
