Licenses awarded today.  Worst pick of the 3 for the Southern Tier gets  the license ?!?!?!?  Lago wins over Tioga Downs and Traditions.  Guess  it came down to total $$$ spend as Lago was the most expensive as it  would have to build EVERYTHING needed.  So this will mean very little  change for me as Lago will be as far away as all the others [IMG]http://img2.cardschat.com/images/smilies/frown.gif[/IMG]  Was so hoping for Tioga Downs which would have been a 10 min drive.

Picks were pretty bad for me as well sine the 40 miles option from NYC didn't get a nod. Closest NY casino will now be in the Catskills which is more of a drive from where I am than the trek to PA or CT. These casinos will not change my life at all.

My last hope is that somewhere down the road - hopefully before the next wave is supposed to click in (7 years!!!) the Yonkers racino will exert some influence and get bumped up to a venue that can have table games and poker I am hoping. I can hope but I think this is a long shot!
