Most of us enjoy a challenge, don't we?!

We already know that poker is not as easy as it presents itself so, what do YOU find is the most challenging aspect of poker?

I would guess most players..... especially most newer players find variance the most challenging aspect to learn to accept,

personally I find the current lack of choice in places to play for people in the US the most challenging👍

In my opinion, the hardest part is that there is nothing more difficult than leading during losing streaks, much less long streaks.

I think it's its mental side.
If a player cannot control their emotions after a loss, particularly after a bad beat, then they're not cut for poker.
Players have to realize that every hand has some equity, be it 1, 2 or 3%. So, losing to a lesser hand has to do with math, not with someone being always lucky or a site being rigged.

The hardest thing is to control your emotions ! Tonight while playing at my table I saw a clear example. For a long time the opponent was the chip leader . After one hand he lost more than half of his stack ...After that, he went all-in with a garbage hand . No control over emotions and lost everything . Unfortunately, I am no exception. This happens to me too.

Personally I find the lack of good, decent and respectful online sites to play at the most challenging. Pokerstars is still the best go to when it comes to security, trust and being upfront. It's only everything else falling apart at Pokerstars. And every other place runs a very very very distant 2nd place when it comes to security, trust and being upfront.

Cheers!!!

Probably the hardest thing in poker is to deal with your emotions, it's a game where there is no justice and sometimes it's hard to bear.

The most challenging part is adjusting your play to take advantage of the tendencies of your opponents.
The ongoing adjustments needed as stack sizes vary and players change.
Anyone can bludgeon through and rely on the basics and hands holding up and be ok, but to really be successful, you gotta recognize and exploit those fine edges.

I feel for some players, it is so easy to think you are going to make loads of cash, when in reality you can easily lose a lot of cash. I am never tempted to go after huge wins in Poker I prefer to get a lot of smaller wins and work at creating a Bankroll from absolute Zero!
I play for the pleasure I get from playing the game regardless of whether I am playing for Peanuts, or a couple of Dollars, making money from the game was never my true intention, I just enjoy the thrill of the All-in and every time I win, I get pleasure from beating others at a game I enjoy.
Playing for micro stakes I can indulge myself and play multiple games during a day, and even if I miss the bubble in every game I play, which has happened occasionally, I can still come back a day later and recoup any losses.
Control is key when you play Poker, Control over your Finances, Control over your Emotions, and Control over your determination to do better in every game you decide to play. I believe making the money bubble more times than actually winning a game outright is far more important, and every cash in a game is a Win!
Be grateful for the small Victories, because eventually you will hit a big one, someday!

I see that I'm not the only one, but to me, the long bad streaks.
They can really make me want to get away from the tables for a while.

the most difficult thing is to hold on and steer forward when we know that one wheel can fall off at any moment (luck), but the other wheel (the mind) does not always know when the right moment is - this is the biggest challenge in poker

I think the hardest part of poker is the balance between aggressive and tight play. Psychology is also a very important aspect of poker. For example, strong players know how to play fake tilt after previous bad hands. In general, the more I play poker, the more complicated it becomes for me. And that's great!

The most difficult thing is probably not losing control. Sometimes there are situations when I make decisions in a hurry, and this usually leads to mistakes. I make hasty decisions only when I am emotionally tired, angry or hungry. So the conclusion is that you shouldn't play when you're tired, angry or hungry :)

No doubt, moving up in stakes is really difficult. In many cases, you have to figure out your opponent’s profile in just a few hands. For me, reading your opponent is the most challenging aspect of poker.

For me, I concluded that the stability of family, financial, and moral conditions will make a good player in particular, a professional player.

It may even seem stupid on my part, the hardest thing for me is to see the absurdities that some bad players do, throwable, ironic, marry, use and abuse jokes, sometimes they even write bitter words, I prefer to abandon than endure

I find patience to be the most challenging aspect of poker. That’s why I enjoy heads-up games—I get to play almost every hand without having to wait 30 minutes for action, like in a 9-max game when playing by the book.

I also dislike annoying players who complain after a hand or are just mouthy in general. It really takes away from the enjoyment of the game.

When you get on that loosing streak which makes you unintentionally change your playing style in the name of "adapting", just making things worse.

In my opinion, the most difficult aspect of poker is a long losing streak that negatively affects the player's performance.

Yes I definitely enjoy a challenge and that’s why I enjoy poker so much. Mastering the game is big challenge for sure.
For me, one of the biggest challenges along my studies in poker was learning Player Types.
When I really got into studying this I learned so much about why opponents play the way they do, and how I can counter the way they play. It really changed my game, but it took a lot of study and table experience to get it down. Good luck all!

The hardest part is to stop when you are losing money, it can often be an addiction, so you have to have self-control.

The most challenging aspect is dealing with losing streaks, which can last for weeks or months, and not playing angry "tilt" because playing like that only guarantees one thing, it is to continue losing money.
