Is this cheating?

Hey all just curious as to what you all think of this, I personally thought it was cheating but that's just me, I don't know maybe i'm reading to much into it, just maybe?

Just to give you all little insight, this table, they all seemed to be speaking some sort of language but not english, and they all (atleast 70% of them understood eachother)

Sorry, don't get it. Why the screenshot, am I missing something really obvious.

If your on about them talking non-English, then you can ask them to stop. If the don't you can also report them. Doesn't mean they're cheating though.

I'd put it this way: if they are colluding, they're being pretty stupid about it. It's there in the chat log for all to see.

Combine that with the fact that they're only playing 2/5c (if they were cheating, wouldn't they do it somewhere where they could make some real money?) and I think you'll find this is probably just some people chatting in their own language.

Now, I don't know, if I'm reading to much into this little bit of chit chatter, but it seems to come up only when the hand involved me

this hand btw is a hand previously played on the same table which then lead up to the AA, hand, in question

Do you know where they're from, or even what language it is? If so, put it into a translator or something - the translations are usually awful, but it might give you a vague idea.

I've got no idea whether this is collusion or not, but think about this objectively for a moment: who's gonna be dumb enough to cheat that openly, risking a ban from one of the biggest sites on the net, for the kind of money on the table at $5NL? It doesn't mean that's not what they're doing, but it makes very little sense if they are.

As you can see in this hand, even though, I was out of the hand, the other player in the hand, I don't know maybe i'm wrong didn't seem to understand this language, and this player was cleary speaking to the ppl on this table, that did understand him (maybe this is all paranorma, lol)

no i think they were just talking not colluding but if you think they were all friends then just leave and find another table.

The thing is, we really can't see. There's some people talking in a foreign language. Unless there's someone here who actually speaks it, or unless you get it translated, it doesn't matter how many chat transcripts you post it won't actually prove anything.

As pointed out above, you can still likely report them to admin for violating the English-only rule. But proving anything beyond that is futile without a translation.

I.C wht your saying, but still kinda wierd really because i've never had that sort of thing happen before, I don't know, I thought about it, "The why they (if they did cheat), would they", and I really can't tell you, maybe because they think it would be less suspious at a lower level, just a guess

Speaking another language at the table is not only a violation of PokerStars' TOS, but it can also be used to collude. When another language gets typed into the chatbox at a table I'm playing, I always warn them once and report them to a chat mod if it continues.

But as far as this particular instance being considered "cheating", you'd have to translate what they said and prove it helped them win. A pretty difficult task, I'd say.

If you put some of these terms in google they come up as serbian and one word means concrete and another chromatic, so unless it's some code, they were just talking.............Jane

Ya, i'd say that's a pretty hard thing to prove, nor would I really go on a all out mission to prove, my X-files theory, "they're out there, I know it, just have to prove it"

Now it's this hand, that got me really, curious, because the words, "FOLD", are clearly stated, and for some reason it doesn't show the rest of the message in the screen shot, but can't find it the history, the other guy went on to state, I him 3put him, and that's when the Durobog, dude, stated for the other guy to Fold?

Also, the boju part must surely have something to do with the turn or color because everything I looked up with boju had turn or color in the translation. It's a weird compound sort of thing that appears to happen in Croatian. Weird to me because I only speak English and a bit of rusty German. Perhaps it's some sort of conjugate. But it could have been a situation where they weren't cheating, still it does look suspicious. Maybe they can find a proper translator.

If the translator's even close to correct, they were speaking in the past tense on some of those hands.

well... i dont see any form of cheating there, just appears you were at a table where the players spoke another language... i have seen that before, and once i thought maybe they were cheating or in collusion but i just ignored it and played my game.

Well then a verdict, has been reached, I guess they weren't cheating, sry to waste all your time

I usually ignore chat in other languages if it's obvious it's just "hi there, I speak your language too" or something like that (it's usually pretty obvious, one'll be like "you speak [language]?" in English and that say a few short phrases. If there was any chat during a hand or to the point where I thought there was a possibility they could collude I just friendly say something like "English only please". If it continues, or if the first time I suspect it could be collusion/cheating against me, I will immediately report it to Stars. If they were just friendly chatting they'll probably get a warning, but they can then investigate if it was collusion in whatever language and take appropriate action.
