computer glitches

see as everything man made, has proven defctive at some point in time. has anyone experienced heads up action, and you know you had the winning hand,saw it actually, but lost?

I bet $20 that you got legitimately beat but you didn't catch it. Try reading what the dealer says in the chat box? That's what I had to do for my first 5-10k hands until I got better at recognizing in which way I got taken out.

I havn't seen anything along the lines of a glitch whilst playing online myself. However, when I was playing in the casino the other week a guy at the table told a story of how one time when he was online, there were 3 aces on the board after the turn, two guys went AI, one showed the fourth ace, and then the river came a FIFTH ace. He said as soon as this happened the tournament closed and he got his money back.

Sounds a little fantastical to me, obviously he could have just made the whole story up.

I'm interested to see if anyone has experienced something like this?

People like to lie lots, I know people like this.

To OP you are very, very, very likely to have legitimately lost. There is usually a "last hand" function - on FTP it's the top left - which will replay all the hands you have played at that table. You should have a quick look at that if you're unsure what happened or how you lost. My gf does it all the time lol, "wait what, but I had a K!", open that thing, "yeah he had two pair", "oh" :)

There was a notable hand on UB in 2008 in which Phil Helmuth won a pot with a weaker hand.

According to the UB CEO Paul Legget, the software malfunctioned and mistakenly awarded Helmuth the pot. After the incident was brought to attention of UB, Phil had the money deducted from his account and the actual winner (DOUBLEBALLER) was awarded the money.

Mr. Legget said that the software error occurred because "the winning player disconnected from the table at the precise millisecond when the software was awarding the pot."

UB has claimed that they promptly corrected the issue and it shouldn't happen again.

Yeah I heard about that, that's why I said very, very, very likely. Was pretty lol that it was Phil Helmuth that glitched though. Most new players though make mistakes like this and it isn't unreasonable to think that is what happened.

From what I remember about hat glitch, UB ran an extensive search of all of the hundreds of millions of hands (maybe billions?) and only found three other hands that had the pot awarded unfairly.

So it is veeeeeery uncommon.
I've lost a lot of hands that I've had to go back and look at because someone made a weird straight, or I didn't see the flush, or whatever.

Just look at your hand history and review the hand. You can request your hand history from most sites.

Nope, never.

A couple times I was dealt 4 holecards in a NLHE game on Fulltilt right after an update.
Then, in the same game this hand was dealt. This was just too funny. I wondered after what the result would've been had I played the hand?

Seen a few myself but like orifice says usually after an update stuff like only getting two cards in omaha or too many cards in NLHE

also had one when my "call" button would'nt work lol but after I reinstalled FTP everything was fine

hmmmmmm maybe thats what happens to those guys who cant fold a bad hand maybe their fold button does'nt work lol
