Ive been hearing this word thrown around frequently but im not quite sure what it means. I believe it is something along the lines of two good hands up against each other.

Exactly right. AA v KK preflop. Or top2 vs set on flop. Just the hands where no matter what someone is going broke without misplaying the hand.
