Could poker ever be introduced as a sport?

No, it would be the most boring sport to date.

I don't think poker is a sport even though you do need mental endurance like some other sports.
I think poker is a strategic game that requires the ability to recognising opportunity and evaluating between the best options to maximise profitability in those opportune moments.

Poker already has many elements of a sport — skill, strategy, competition, and mental endurance. With the right format, it could definitely be recognized as one officially.
