At NL1000 I have not met any Baltic, Bellarusian, Ukrainian, Argentinian or Brazilian players.

Alas, the “partisans” are fighting with Russia alongside mercenairies from North Korea. Trying to occupy Ukraine. This will hardly get you The Nobel Prize of Peace.

I can see that you all time have accumulated $4.303. That seems to be on the shy end of being a pro. But good luck. Regarding your video. A “work in progress” to describe it nicely. But that’s just my opinion.

I would say that currently the best poker players are in Brazil, but the best known players worldwide are from the United States of America, and the best known world poker cradle is Las Vegas.

Good players live in different countries

Location does not affect skills, experience or patience. Obviously, in those countries where there are more players in general, there will be more good players. In other words, the more citizens of a country play poker, the more likely it is that there will be more good players in that country. But at the same time, there will be more bad ones

I disagree. Location does affect skills. Some countries have a long history of fostering the best players while others do not. And furthermore there is a language issue. In countries with a sparse poker tradition the poker litterature is not translated from English. And most people in these countries don’t speak or read English. And without constantly studying poker your game do not evolve.

Where are the Brazilian players? Certainly not at high stakes cash games at PokerStars. But perhaps they are to be found in tournaments.

I have not met a single Brazilian player at high stakes cash games. You are right that most people think their own nation is the pinnacle. I have read people from countries like Ukraine and Belarus claiming they are best. There is quite a bit Comical Ali over this. People from these countries do not speak English and no poker books are translated to their language. This is a huge obsticle from studying the game.

Interesting. I think the reason people mention these countries is because there are plenty of solid players at low and microstakes from these countries. Only very few make it to the top tho.

Obviously one of the best in the world is from Belarus, Mikita Badziakowski. I doubt he plays 'as low' as NL1000

UK and Spain have some good players too, as well as the countries mentioned already.
