Maybe because he thought you were the kind of guy who would stack off with bottom pair? ;)

Well, it would have been a hell of a read if he had considering we had never played before.

So took a bunch of family photos today. Should come out good, hopefully I do not look completely ridiculous. Now, it is time to grind seeing as I have not played anything for the day yet. Will try to get 6 tables going for about 4 to 6 hours.

It's a once in a lifetime hand. Just be glad you weren't playing $1Knl when yours happened.

Hopefully a once in a lifetime one. I flopped the nut flush a couple weekends ago live, and it was raised I reraised he shoved I called with no hesitation.

villan had Td 8d - why he called $20 preflop I'll never know but he flopped the ten high straight flush, turned a jack high straight flush, and rivered a queen high straight flush, it was pretty disgusting and he was the only player at the table that had been there as long as I had and also had a deep deep stack as did I.

Unfortunately, to say the least we had exactly the same amount on the table and it was all gone in one hand.

The gut wrenching feeling lasted the whole weekend and I still could not believe the odds that he flopped a straight flush and I flopped the nut flush. And the whole raise reraise thing he did before he has done on 3 flushed flops with 2 pair or a set so never thought he had a straight flush, never actually crossed my mind until he flipped em.

So sick...

Jay, Leatherass's book might be ideal for you if you opt to go for SNE. It really focuses on the "treating poker like a job/business" aspect of things. I think you've said that you're getting the book, but I thought I'd point out you're in kinda an ideal situation for what the book talks about.

This is my dilemma:

Basically my job is rapidly deteriorating, we're getting butt f****** by the management team and they're gonna put us on the most horrendous shift pattern known to man.

So, I need a regular income, and SNE will potentially give me that coz if I get 100k vpp's/month, I'm literally guaranteed $5600ish, excluding milestone bonuses, which will increase this monthly figure substantially over the months.

Obvioulsy I have to play b/e poker or better.

Now my new shift pattern will hinder this process dramatically, which sucks big time.

So at this stage i'm gonna take it on a monthly basis and review where I'm at every month. I think with all the uncertainty, that's all I can do at this stage!

Interesting suggestion, why is cardschat's tagline still Worldwide Poker Community? Should be changed to Worldwide Community some of whom play poker occasionally.

Bye belgo

and miss out on the internet gold from the likes of kidkv and snow and miss the train wreck threads. Besides i do still try and help people when i feel like it, everytime time i do, my advice is ignored anyway (and this isn't even directed at the whole trigga thread crazyness)

Remember like a year ago, we had the thread of how to make cc top of the market so t could compete with the likes of 2+2, and the consensus was that in about a years time we will have a solid core of 15-20 players who regularly crush low-mid stakes and would atract better members causing cc to grow to the top of the tree. That went well.

Yes but how long does this have to go on. You cannot keep having good poker players leave the forum because then it becomes less of a poker forum and more of just a social network for people who happen to play poker.

psh, PSH. It was all your loss, for not being part of the revolution. When everyone talks about how they saved britain and are celebrating, you will have to wait outside all alone because you didn't take part

Like everything else there is a balance that has to be found. And if you have someone that is truly unhappy, actually goes out of the way to make others' live more miserable, makes inflammatory posts, etc while sticking around then sometimes parting ways is still the best course of action. If I had cancer and could guarantee it would go away by permanently removing the fingernail from my right thumb then I'd remove the fingernail immediately.

And my comment isn't directly solely at good players; it's directed at bad players and everyone in between as well. If they don't like CC and just want to make trouble then GTFO and everyone will be better off.
