So just curious, I think this could help everyone

I would like everyone to share there tricks or failures to bankroll Management?

not looking for the typical 40 buy in rules we all know that stuff.

like for example I use the sportsbook on ACR as like a savings account

I use it as like a buffer so if I have to move down in stakes cause of a bad run of cards lol

kind of limits me of just spewing money lol

Basically just give examples of different BRM styles, tricks, or things not to do :deal::deal:

Hello.
I have a simple rule that I always follow. My rule is never to lose more than 5% of my bankroll per day. This is an effective method, thanks to which my bankroll grows.

Everytime I get paid I use my poker account as a savings account. I deposit 5-10% of my paychecks and use the rest of my checks in bills and other responsibilities. Then when I play poker with whatever I deposit I'll play a certain small amount of whatever I deposit and if I win I keep going til I get to a stop win until I get paid to deposit again. If I lose I setup a stop loss of a certain number I stop at that is over the number I surpassed. Then I just wait til I get paid to rinse and repeat it definitely works for me.

I honestly don't have any secrets and tricks on bankroll management, I just saw somewhere that you don't need to play games that you don't have 20 inputs and I try to stick to it! I will follow your post with pleasure and curiosity, maybe I will see something useful for myself! I wish you all good and good luck at the tables!

Mine is simple and has not failed me in 20 years
Max 2.5% for MTT
Max 5 % for STT
I will take the occasional shot if the overlay makes it too good to resist but that is few and far between.
I rarely play cash games so will always just play micro no matter the size of my bankroll just because I suck and don't want to waste my roll

You should not play for all the money in one day. I play 100 entries for a playable limit, for example $110 bankroll, and I play tournaments no more than $1.1 per entry. I also increase the number of inputs when the limit is increased. Thus, playing tournaments no more expensive than $ 2.2, I need to have 200 entries. The higher the level, the more difficult it is to play and therefore it is worth having a good stock. Ideally 500-1000 inputs.

With that type of BRM with discipline you're guaranteed to be rich from poker good luck to you sir.

For MTT play, the best method I have found is to identify the low limit games that you can consistently win at. Make these games your "core" games, your "bread and butter." These low limit games will pad your bankroll while you try to take "shots" at higher limits. As you build your bankroll, you will be able to move up in limits (slowly). The better you get, the more you will be able to move up your "bread and butter" games.

BRM is pretty straight forward. Any tricks is just creative financing.

I don't think there is much to "tricks". I think you're not really tricking yourself if the money is always just simply available to you. It's basically by the book. Don't risk more than 5% of your bankroll a day is my motto. Discipline. Yeah, Discipline is the trick.

Hi Friend.

To be calm and safe, I take the rule of playing in rooms where I can cover 300 buy-ins, although due to an oversight that I had lately, I am taking a more aggressive fund management, I hope to do well.

A friend played with 20-30 buy-ins. She quit poker after many years and focused on chess. I don't know if that says anything.

I really don't have any trick or different BRM, I just follow the basics that every poker player knows. I do keep a "saving account" on BCP that is the rakeback I earn. I don't use that money unless I'm in a very long bad run.

You have the right idea, never increase your buy ins during losing streaks. I can't have that problem because I'm at the highest buy in of triple up SNGs at my site, $50. I maintain a 300:1 stake to buy in ratio. If my $15,000 stake ever dwindled to $7,500, I would drop to $25 games to maintain my 300:1 ratio. The most my stake has gone down so far is around $1,000. Took me awhile to grind it back, but I got it done.
