I like to play both online and at real tables, but the feeling of being safe is just psychological. It's my opinion.

I only play online. I don't have the opportunity to play live, and besides, I don't have time. Playing online also takes a lot of time, however, I personally feel more comfortable playing online because I always play at home.

I'm not really sure what you mean by feeling safer, so I'll go with a couple of things.

1. If you mean safer from being cheated I'm more comfortable playing live. Since I play mostly tournaments that really isn't much of a consideration in either venue, but for cash games collusion would be much easier to get away with online than in person.

2. If you mean physically safer, then I feel much better playing in my own home. At the casino, especially after the sun goes down, walking through the parking garage/lot can be scary, and with good reason. I'm usually smiling but in this situation I'll have a sad look in order to appear as someone who lost all of her money. That way I hope to eliminate one motivation for someone to attack me.

Your safety will probably depend more on where you play, whether it's online or live. There are safe sites, there are safe poker clubs, and there are places where it is better not to play at all. I only play online, and I feel quite safe on the sites I play on.

I play online and I'm happy so far .

I prefer playing online for a lot of reasons: I can play with my pyjama, play at everytime. And there is no casino in my neighborood .

It all depends on your state and mental security, are you sociable? Do you do sports? Do you go to bars or cafes to meet new people? If so, playing live will seem attractive to you, otherwise you won't be comfortable, there are online players who win a pass to a live tournament and don't know what to do, nerves make playing horrible and they are excellent online players.

I play mostly online. I've never actually played at a casino or anything like that but we have poker nights at my friend's place and set two or three tables up. I feel pretty safe playing with my friends and online no one going to bother me sitting naked at my computer LOL 😉 Just kiddin'

Winning over a thousand £ live and walking out of casino late with a wad of cash can feel uncomfortable and a bit unsafe which is not an issue online.

I feel safe playing both modes both online and live. I love playing poker and that's the best you can feel in this sport.
