Hey, Do you have a favorite starting hand that is not technically a great hand - but U play it anyway coz it always seems to work for you?? I have a tendency of playing the K 4 (off suit and suited) as somehow it seems to be lucky for me as it never fails to show up in my games...of course not all the time but mostly it does - lol!!!

I would love to hear your thoughts...

I reckon lucky unlucky is just misnomer ,its all result of our past deeds ("karma") and getting obsessed with lucky unlucky hostile amicable sign makes our mind weak rather I reckon to believe in ownself and contemplating our present action and just following process way to success

Pair of Queens during Pride month (June) has never let me down. 🙂 Unfortunately they have never let my opponent(s) in a hand down either. ;(

i have been told that people in this forum have CC G string as a lucky charm 🙂

According to numerologists, each date of birth corresponds to a specific planet and talisman, which is supposedly capable of enhancing positive energy.I have this banknote with 7777 at the end.

I’ve got a few lucky charms too - a little house spirit, a fox, and even a beer coaster signed by World Champion Eugene Katchalov. But honestly, I don’t think any of them really helps my game. In poker, it’s mostly just standard variance - the pendulum swings one way, then the other, and sometimes we just like to believe our lucky charm or favorite hand is responsible. Still, it’s fun to have a little superstition at the table!

My lucky charm would be my daughter's cat, the Princess. And yes, Princess is her name. She cuddles up into my arms or on my lap and we're ready to play poker and win. Without her, it's up to the poker gods.

Drop your screen name so I know to watch out if a K4 hits the flop.

My mom bought me this little clay pot at a fair in Sloviansk. It says “Bag of Luck” on it. Now it’s a frontline city, with the war literally on its doorstep. It’s really sad.

If you want to have a lucky charm for playing online, it makes more sense to treat it as a mental anchor rather than as something that attracts good cards. For example, an object or a state of mind that you only use when you're about to play can become a signal that says, I’m focused, I’m patient, and I’m not going to tilt. That can genuinely have value.

I have a slightly superstitious mind, for instance I do not want to change anything setup wise if I am running well. But I generally do not like accessoires so a charm or card protector or anything is not my style.

I don't really have a favorite starting hand, because I try not to get attached to any particular cards. But if I had to choose one, I'd say pocket tens. I like playing TT because it's a strong hand pre-flop, but it's not so strong that I can just forget about the situation. I still have to pay attention to the board, my position, the stack sizes and how my opponent is playing. Sometimes TT can win a big pot, and sometimes it can become a difficult hand very quickly when an overcard comes on the flop. That's probably what I like about it. It's a strong starting hand, but it still makes me think about how to play it

I don’t think there can really be a “worst hand,” because you can have 72o and still hit a full house. I think every hand should be played individually, depending on the context of the hand.

Honestly, I've never understood people who believe in poker good-luck charms. 😂 How are they supposed to help them? ))

I'm a bit superstitious, but I don't have any problems, maybe I'll succeed in doing it from now on. I am of the opinion that luck influences business.

¡Jajaja!

Me encantaría escuchar tu opinión...
Hahaha, I understand you 😂 It happens to me with hands that statistically I shouldn't even like, but when they appear I say: “this is mine” 😂♠️. In the end you also play a little bit with luck.

I have a soft spot for 9♠7♠. It’s not a premium hand, but suited connectors can make some very strong disguised hands when they hit the right board. Of course, I try not to let the idea of a “lucky hand” dictate my decisions too much. K4 can be fun when it works, but over a large sample, position and the situation matter much more than the cards themselves. I think every poker player has a hand they’re strangely attached to, and the danger is remembering the big pots we win with it while forgetting all the times we quietly fold or lose. Still, poker is supposed to be fun, and having a favourite hand is part of the charm!

Clap your hands lol

Personally, I don't believe in physical lucky charms like card protectors or specific clothes, because poker is a game of math, logic, and psychological control, not magic. However, my only real 'lucky charm' is a 100% focused and calm mindset before starting a session. If I have a good mood, a clean workspace, and no distractions, that is what truly brings me good results and helps me make optimal decisions. At the end of the day, a clear mind is much more powerful than any superstition! What about you guys, do you have any specific routine before you play?

Haha, mine would probably be 7-8 suited! 😂 It's not always about having the best starting hand, but I try not to let superstition decide how I play. If K4 keeps bringing you good luck, I can understand why it's your favorite! Just remember, position matters more than luck in the long run. ♠️
