There are no poker clubs in my city but we do have a group of friends who get together from time to time to play, there are around 7 of us who do this

Unfortunately no, in my country is illegal poker ( rotfl sick law )
but there is something like legal poker, but also with sick rules. the prize pool can not be larger than a ridiculous $ 750 and plays there a maximum of 50-70 people.... it is just a turbo game 3 times a week in two neighboring towns 20 miles apart.
