Hey CardChat family! 🙌

When I'm studying poker or watching live streams, I often find myself thinking: “Wow, these pros look so easy!” 😅 Whether it's Daniel Negreanu with his legendary Reeds, Phil Ivey and his quiet dominance, or modern crackers who grind online with insane discipline, their performance inspires me a lot.

But here's the thing: sometimes inspiration feels like a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it motivates me to study harder, play smarter and believe I can improve. 💪 On the other hand, it also reminds me how much I still have to go through, which can be a little scary.

However, I believe that contacting professionals can help us:

🔹 Learn bankroll discipline and management.

🔹 Choose strategies and adjustments.

🔹 Stay motivated during downturns.

🔹 Let us remind ourselves that everyone started once!

So my question to you is
Are you inspired by professional players? If so, who was the biggest influence on you and why? 🤔

For me personally, this is Negreanu — his friendly style and ability to clearly explain his hands give me confidence that poker is not just about math, but also about people and psychology. 🎯

“Great players were once rookies who refused to give up.” 🌟

We can't wait to see who will inspire YOU the most! 🙏

Yes, I do get inspired by pro players. I like watching how they handle tough situations and stay calm under pressure. It motivates me to improve my own game.

One thing I really admire about professional players is how they read the game. I’ve seen them fold AA or KK already on the flop. Personally, I’ve never folded AA on the flop. That’s what makes them pros—they understand when they’re behind and can let go of big hands easily.

If I am inspired to see professional players, in Latin America I like to see zeros poker, or Adrián Mateos, in English the 888 Abarone professional is very good, he is always playing final tables.

This is their channel; since we speak Spanish, it's obviously easier. I recommend their channel and their teaching school.

Honestly, yes. When tournaments are streamed publicly, like PokerStars, wsop, WPT, or Triton, I like to watch from time to time and see how certain players I enjoy actually play. A lot of times they surprise me with plays that don’t seem like the “correct” ones, but they work. And that’s what makes poker so interesting, there’s always room to improve by taking advantage of spots that aren’t comfortable for either player.

Honestly, I don't know many professional players, except for some famous people I've seen on TV broadcasts of the best moments.
I don't try to be inspired by them, because I think what they do is difficult to apply to my online games. Many of these moves seem too advanced or even a little unrealistic for my level.
I prefer to focus on improving my own decisions rather than trying to copy that type of play.
