Usually I lose more often with High suited connectors, the reason being that before the flop you are always wanting to hit the Magical Straight Flush, and after the flop you convince yourself to stick with it even when you miss it but you may have hit a Straight draw or flush draw, not realising that players against you could have a draw to a better flush or straight.
A/K is another hand I hate playing because of course you have to play it, but how many players over value the hand? Raising and re-raising with it only to completely miss the flop and you are already in too deep, As far as my play is concerned it is just another Ace/Rag hand that only proves it's value when you hit the flop in a big way.
I have lost count of how many go all-in with it and miss completely, only to lose, to a smaller pocket pair, Heads up, I have called players all-in with A/K, with absolute rubbish cards, hitting a small pair, with 7/2 off or 6/2 off, only to be ridiculed for calling with rubbish, but my reason for calling is not always dependant on my hand, but only my chip stack, If I have a chance of taking a player out that has a lot less chips than me, I will call with any 2 cards.
This is the reason I don't have favourite hands, because any two cards can win, Lucky? Sure but sometimes you have to rely on a little Luck, but with a massive chip stack you can afford to lose against a much smaller stack.
