Tilt - An expression that came out of the old pinball machines, when they were very sacudadas or inclined, if switched off and showed expressions on their screens.

This is very interesting, leading to the world of poker and the life and performance of the player, he is shaken or tilted, losing your emotional control and making your technical level drops due to a bad beat, a poorly bluff successful, an elimination in the final stretch of a MTT or other factors.

Note that the tilt is one of the major pitfalls for the poker player, because if we let ourselves take for this moment, thus losing our calm will certainly harm our technical knowledge as well as our profitability.

Very interesting. I've always wondered where the term "tilt" came from. Thanks for clarifying!

I heard that the first record came up accidentally when a guy offered a chip for his girlfriend to play a match on a pinball machine. Then, when the ball got stuck in the machine, the guy decided to find a way to solve the problem. :p

Hello.
Very interesting.
If a player can not control his emotions, he can not succeed.
I believe that controlling emotions is paramount.

If I feel that I can not control my emotions, I just stop playing poker. Usually, I enjoy the game, and if I am too emotional then I will get stress instead of pleasure. In this case, I think it is better to just relax.

I am helped by poker to train my nervous system - to control emotions and the ability to remain always calm. Good school!

I was going to guess it came from pinball machines too, but I never knew for sure, thanks for sharing this info!
