Hello ladies and gentlemen of the poker world...;)

Let's talk about a very relevant topic in poker. Do you know what tells is, well, there are some signs that poker players do not unwittingly declare themselves about some aspect of your game. Try to observe if you have a tell and try to put an end to it. In online poker it is a little more difficult to observe tell than in live poker, yet it is possible to observe some online games, some of them are:

using different bet sizes.

Some players open standard raises of 2x or 2.5x most of the time, but when they take a Premium hand (AA, KK, QQ) they decide to raise 3x or 4x, that's a tell and if you do that correct better quickly, try to observe these types of things on your opponents.

Automatic check when the player is in BB.

If by chance you decide to go in limp (which I don't recommend most of the time) and the player who is on BB gives Instagram check it means that he had the “check/fold” button clicked and that he was willing to let go of any bet, with that in mind think about placing a bet on the flop to try to get the hang of it.

Give an Insta Call to your after

Some players when they hit a good hand on the flop have the habit of giving an Insta call when you bet, this could mean that they hit a good hand.
In online poker it's harder to observe the tells than in live poker, but if you're playing at a live table, here are some of the most common tells that poker players don't.

The player looks too much at his chips.

A precious tell is when a player starts looking too much at your chips while you are involved in a hand. This may mean that he intends to bet and wants to know the best value according to his stack.

The player is looking too much at his cards.

After the flop some players tend to look at their cards several times, this can mean almost 100% of the time that they have an offsuited hand and want to know if there are any cards that could complete a possible flush. Have you noticed that when players have cards of the same suit and hit the flush, they will hardly look at their cards again?

Anxiety.

Beginner players who don't have much experience in live poker tend to be anxious and impatient when they take a very strong hand, because with that hand he will probably get involved in some action and that requires more concentration. Poker is a game of incomplete information. Many players like to discuss past hands with their opponents and often end up revealing what was in a certain hand, or others like to bluff and show, or also show a genuine hand at the end of the round. Never do these kinds of things, good poker players will take note of your past actions and will use that against you in the future.

Timer tells.
You've highlighted the insta-call. Sometimes quick bets (where the player isn't usually quick) that reveal a strong hand.
Generally, the long timer run right to the last second followed by a bet is also usually strong.

Pay attention to standard C-Betting of 1/3 pot. These are usually weak (unless the player is short stacked).

Live
Shaking hands often indicates having hit a monster.

Chatty/not interested in hand
Often indicates weakness.

Someone staring you down often means they have something, but it isn't butty and they want a read from you to determine whether to continue.

The grimace
Often a player who has a strong/nutty hand will give a sort of flat-lined /thin-mouthed grimace. Almost as if to say "sorry about this"....

Leaning forward
Interested in the hand

Leaning back
Less interested in the hand

Hands hovering over/covering cards
Subconscious "protection" of strong hand.

Betting tells
Sometimes the betting just doesn't make sense. The story doesn't add up. You can often identify a bluff from an inconsistent betting story

Cheers,
JT

Good morning everyone, tells are the way to play that some players do and that make clear the range of hands that are doing it. One of the most well known tells in online poker is when recreational players limp early with hands like AA or KK and when someone else limps his raise he goes all in. Another tell that is very common is when villain makes bets on the flop, turn, river, very high and very fast, it's usually a bluff.

Any sign/indication/action from your opponent that gives away relevant information is a tell.

It's something you can use to exploit your opponents.
