I really like the style Daniel plays, I think it's called lowball poker, correct me if I'm wrong. Basically what he does is he creates an image of a loose player who plays a lot of trash pre-flop hands, but those hands have a lot of potential to flop really hard and make a full-house or something.

It's called small ball actually (you were close). Basically what rytciaq said is what it is. Stab at small pots and raise a lot. Apparently, he said 75 was a good hand for flopping full houses. When you catch cards playing so many hands, you can get paid a lot.

He knows how to read into ppl's calls/bets and really trim down peoples ranges and even put ppl on the actual hand.

He's good but I don't know how much is setup on tv but he appears to be one of the best players by far.

His poker skills are obvious to me when I watch him play, especially his ability to make certain reads.

I think when it comes to demeanor, attitude and personality he is definitely one of the best for the game.

his style wouldn't be good for someone starting out because it gets you in weird spots and takes a lot of, especially, post flop skill. he does indeed play lower/ connected cards than the average player (especially when they're deep) but he is able to read players well and put them on hands/ ranges well. what i mean is that he doesn't just play his cards, because a lot of the time he will have weak top pairs etc, but is able to use his read/ image to bluff players off big hands on boards that you would expect to hit him.
for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkAbAswCYJ4

he likes to flat a lot and imo he wouldn't do as well online (where there's a lot more 3 betting/ less calling and flops played, especially deep in a tourny) but i am sure he would adapt his style to be more aggressive pre. in general live poker is a lot less aggressive and thus his style works well live. online it wouldn't be nearly as affective and he wouldn't be one of the better tournament players online at the moment.

Does it matter who likes it or not, his style of play after winning and is one of the best players in the modern Poker? :) His ability to "read" the game is undeniable. Enough time has worked and continues to work on it, and if at any time you decide that you can beat with any hand, he had no reason for myself to do it. Even if the hand is 2-7. :D

Daniel doesnt only play smallball poker but he teaches people to play like this. This style of playing is very good and suxessful for many players.
Daniel Negreanu is pretty cool guy. You can always have fun watching him playing poker or do anything. He is probably best poker player because when he play poker he is above it. He doesnt only play poker, he makes poker more interesting and fun for new players who want to see how pro players play it.

I am amazed at how often he correctly reads opponents cards. I am sure there is some editing for tv but still they don`t show many other players doing it. He is always entertaining and an excellent ambassador for Poker.

Yes I do. As a person and as a poker player.

And small ball is a very effective technique of controlling the pot and increasing your ability to play marginal hands vs. a tight-aggressive.

The guy is very good. His playing style has earned him many awards. I sometimes play a few hands of his style, but my poker is still very bad lol

I think he is a great player also. Seems I have a lot in common with him, maybe this explains the little turn around I am experiencing.( Lol.. Just kidding...) Well, I'm not sure that is true but what alot of you are saying, it seems I have that style of play somewhat. But I'm no where near a Daniel Negreanu !!

Daniel Negreanu is one of the best tournament players in the game

Ranked 3rd in the all time money list with over 21 million dollars in tournament winnings. Behind Antonio Esfandiari who won the $1million dollar tournament winning over 18 million dollars in that tournament alone
and Phil Ivey ranked second arguably the best all around poker player in the world.

He is ranked #1 on Canada's all time money list (he is Canadian)

He has 6 poker bracelets 3 of which have come recently.

Daniel Negreanu was 2013's POY (Player of the year) and also got the title for the first ever Player of the decade.

As mentioned in post above Daniel Negreanu has a style of play which is now known as small ball poker in which he plays a wider range of hands from Button, Cutoff and Hijack for smaller PFR's (Pre flop raises) The strategy does a few things which includes, 1 is to win a lot of small pots and frustrate your opponents with an extremely active image, 2 is to exploitably tilt your opponents in an predictable manner to take their stack. 3. Win a lot of chips without risking many of your own.

Daniel Negreanu is also an ambassador to the game is very active with the poker community and is a fan favorite.

Negraneau is awesome! Not just his poker skills or style that I like. It's his demeanor too, he always seems very genuine and happy go lucky. He proves that you don't have to put on sun glasses and ignore everyone at the table. Just relax and have fun. It's just a ride so enjoy!

Daniel is an amazing live player, his results prove that. He's very good post flop too, so certainly can play many more marginal hands in and out of position than your average player.

He's great for the game, such a nice guy and makes the atmosphere at the table fun.

You can always be good at poker learn the game... But to encourage fish/newcomers to the game is another thing.

He knows how to play well, Ivey is my favourite though but the dangerous thing about Daniel he's a guy who will take 1mil off you and make you laugh it off and come back next week.

I don't believe I could laugh off 1 mil if I lost it.

Like it's been said before, small ball is a really great style for advanced players, not so much for beginners. Daniel says as much in his book Power Hold Em Strategy. DN has always been one of my favorite poker celebs (i know, I'm so original) he's a great ambassador for the game.

He's a great player and nobody can deny that. I certainly like the way he plays and so does everybody here as well. His amazing reads are the ones that let him play the small ball style so effectively.

He is ok, but Jamie Gold is better at reading and putting people on hands/ranges. Jamie Gold is definitely a better player overall than Negreanu. Negreanu is actually really overrated and extremely big headed at times.
