You take alcohol while you are in your poker session or energetic drinks such as Speed, Monster?
In my case I like to take almost everything, but instead of alcohol I prefer to take a Speed or a monster, a coffee. It's a custom already, it's something that I love

To be honest, I don't like to drink alcohol while playing. I order coffee at the bar and take candy from home.

If I'm playing in the afternoon I usually drink water, juice or coffee with milk.
Now if I'm playing at night, when I don't need to go out and drive anymore, I usually have a good glass of red wine from Serra Gaucha.

If you're playing offline, then yes, it can be beneficial because you stop worrying when you have good cards, and you simply don't show emotions when you have a strong hand. However, when you're drinking while playing online, your actions can become more foolish, and you lose control over them.

I prefer not to drink alcohol during the game, but lately I can drink beer about once a week during the tournament, in general beer is my favorite alcoholic beverage.

I had issues with alcohol for years when i was younger . Now i cant touch it .Some coffee in the morning is enough nowadays .

Whatever helps and works for you ...
Personally, I don't drink alcohol at all, not only on the poker table. From what I have seen, alcohol might only cloud your judgement and make you reckless on the table, so I don't imagine drinking, even one or two, to be a good idea.
Coffee and other energy drinks are probably a better choice, as long as you don't drink large quantities.

I prefer clean, fresh water. I don't drink alcohol or energy drinks. Perhaps my maximum is green tea

From the start of any Live Game in a Casino, I would only drink Coffee or Coke until I reach the Final Table, it is only then I will reward myself with a Pint of Beer, or drown my sorrows if I bust out earlier. At my Local Pub I was rewarded by the Landlord with Free drinks all night for running the Games but stuck with Shandy early on until I made the Final Table and then started to relax with a couple of Beer's.
Playing League Poker in the Pub, the aim of the Game was to win as many points as possible over a 13 Week period, Finishing as high as possible to get extra points which led you to a Quarterly Casino Game every 3 Months.
We had a £5.00 buy-in which was paid out in prize money each week but the more serious players among us were more interested in Qualifying for the Quarterly Regional Final, where there was bigger money to be Won.

I think alcohol is not a good idea while playing poker there will come a time where the senses will be altered and many mistakes will come that will make you lose money preferably take a good coffee

Depending on how I feel water, coffee, scotch or a mix of those. Not a huge drinker but will have a relaxing scotch or two.
