I think it would definitely help, but if you study and dedicate yourself to learning the techniques, it is also a success in your earnings.

Firstly, poker is a game that requires a diverse set of abilities, including strategic thinking, emotional control, mathematical aptitude, and social acumen. While a higher IQ may provide a foundation for developing these skills, it is by no means the sole determinant of success. In fact, some of the most successful poker players in history have come from a variety of backgrounds and possess varying levels of intellectual prowess.
Moreover, poker is a game that rewards practical experience and learning through trial and error. Many successful players have honed their skills through years of practice, observation, and study, rather than relying solely on innate intelligence. The ability to adapt, learn from mistakes, and continually improve is often more crucial to long-term success than sheer IQ.

I have definitely been outplayed by people who are “lower iq” than me, some people just have enough experience playing at their local games to sniff out a lot of stuff!

In some instances any player will end up a winner. but that is short term.
Long term you need to have a good understanding of the game to play a winning strategy.

It is not necessary to have a high IQ but it is good to always study

It probably helps a lot, but if you have good management and follow the basic strategies in microlimits you can already earn some cool money.
