I find myself playing like that , i may have a problem in self control
it sucks but there's gotta be away, please let me know how you guys manage.:bike::bike::bike::bike::bike::bike:
Three little words you need to understand "Bank Roll Management"
For whatever stakes you play Ex. .01 /.02 Max buy in is generally 100bb so $2.00 You should have 20 buy ins to play these stakes to fade the variance. So $40 min. in your poker
bankroll. If you don't have $40 play free rolls until you get $40 if you lose some buy ins and go under $40 go back to free rolls until you get properly rolled again.
For tournaments it should be more around 100 buy ins or some say 2% of your total bankroll so for a $2 buy in tournament you would need around $100 minimum in your bankroll.
People generally use cash games to fill the voids left behind from MTT's because even though the pay off's are higher you will go much longer lengths of time in between cashes.
Sticking too it will be the hard part it sounds for you. You have to have self control, and ignore the urges if you are wanting to fix this problem. That being said if you just want to have fun and learn until you become profitable, you can allow yourself a Budget of. X amount per week and once you lose that money don't play or deposit until your Budget allows. After you feel you have learned enough to start building try BRM.
BRM is generally for people who don't have an additional income and is there to avoid going busted in the long run since it's there only source of income. I'm going to quote something that someone sent me a few months ago that helped out as well it will be my next comment and it's from Spewster.
