Prefer live games, MTT and cash games. Online is not very 'personal' and I like watching the action. The slower pace is of no concern for me.

I personally play both and find both games offer different ways for me to interject edge, and you may find that one game suits your skills better.

I concluded that I prefer to play off-line. And I guess that this is because when you play live, there are so many distracting factors-factors around you that are very distracting and interfere with making the right decision.

But playing at a computer monitor is a lot more boring!
What do you prefer - to play off-line or on-line?

Live play is much more interesting, this is another poker, but every day live it is impossible to play, so the majority of my games online

I prefer playing online, because I give less information online. I would prefer live poker, if I could use all the information, that I get. I'm still learning, so I think it is better to give less information than to get information and not being able to use it.

I play online, but I like to participate in a good poker game with my friends in my house, after the game we make a dinner and we drink for a pleasant time and no matter who wins, or who loses, in the end friendships worth more than Money these days

Live poker is much more social. Hard to interact online. But, no casinos within 3 hours of my house. local games are usually low stakes, so no stress, but no money...

I have only played a few times live, but I can say that I prefer it and that is where you can exercise the most knowledge regarding the psychology of poker.

I would like to play live poker, but alas, we do not have any casinos nearby, so we only have to play with friends for interest =)
When playing online, it is not always believed that straight the card can lie not in your side and you start to think that everything is screwed up. However, when you win, you realize that this was just a chance, which sometimes happens with friends)

If it's proper casino poker where I never need to shuffle or put my brain to anything other than the game, then I prefer real-life poker because people tend to get more drunk and play dumber than the average online player does.

In real-life games that are players shuffling, no-tax backroom stuff (and I've played in one or two of these), the players are often smarter than your average online one (because they are 100% regulars) and on top of that you get pairs of shuffle-master cheaters.

Sounds like it's Russia, I was thinking a Muslim country at first but those don't allow you to play any online poker (and his bank account being there would mean he couldn't do it).

I'd rather play live, but the closest casino is 4 hours away and can't seem to get any home games going, so it's online for me. It's nice to play in leagues or forums when you get to at least see (relatively speaking), some of the same player.
