Do you slowroll your opponents?

I think it's a good tool in poker. But if you are always trying to slow down your opponents, you are become too readable. So you shouldn't always use slowdown, but only in situations where it is necessary.

No. I've never slowrolled anyone in my life, I don't really get why people do it. Can someone explain what the point is? In a live game I'd Matusow you👊

Maybe against someone you are good friends with in a home game it could be funny but other than that its just an ass move.

Another point playing online is get that call in quick once you've decided before the Gods smite you and you get an internet lag or disconnect🤣

It's tilting to get slowrolled so people might play bad after you do it to them.

To answer the over all thread question I may have slowrolled a time or two but that was in my younger days now I just try and get the money in af fast as I can in spots where final decision is on me. Don't want to get disconnected or anything in my old age lol.

That was my point with getting the call in. People tend to slowroll the uber-nuts, imagine getting timed out with a straight flush Vs quads because you slow-rolled, don't come on CC looking for sympathy🤣

I would never do such a direspectful move toward an opponents specially on a CC freeroll and it make me very sad to hear that you would be ready to humiliate me in such cruel way

yes, especially against more aggressive players, it's a move that makes him angrier and that's good for eliminating him quickly.

I think slowrolling can be a useful tool for tilting opponents, but it should be used sparingly. If overdone, it becomes predictable and might backfire. In most cases, I prefer to make quick decisions to avoid distractions like lag or disconnects.

The only situation where i can use slowroll is when i'm with "nuts" trying to feign doubt/uncertainty to allow my opponent to bluff me.

1) Slow roll: 99% of the time no. It shows piss poor character and is quite a trashy thing to do. But if you slow roll me or are generally just a douchebag/POS at the table then yes I certainly will every chance I get. I enjoy pouring gas on a fire just to get a reaction and piss off people who are douchebags/POS.

2) Slow play the best hand: Yes. It's not piss poor character or trashy to do.

Those things are two very different things. I think you meant to ask about slow play and not slow roll OP. And I can't believe no else before me corrected you or said anything.

And I don't find the argument of trying to tilt someone to be a good one. There are lots of different things you can do to try to tilt someone that if you do them not only are you being an asshole but you're making the games worse and less enjoyable. Which is bad for poker and it's bad for you.
