Because of poker I began to gain weight and stoped to play tennis.I have no health problems yet,but I think i will get.Do you get some health problems which appeared because of poker?

You should have a schedule for playing poker like a job. Use it and add in an exercise time and stick to it. It will make you feel better, have more focus at the table, and probably improve your game.

MTT participants know better than anyone else that a tournament last hours if you make the FT. Sedentary lifestyle is the main drawback for online poker for me. Don't play everyday and hope that no one is prefer poker to socializing unless is the best option given!

i get sore from the grind. tight muscles. i find stretching helps. thats the only "health problem" i can think off.

Health problems are not related to poker. Problems begin because of a sedentary lifestyle and poor nutrition. I have little time in front of the computer and so I do not have any health problems yet. Also I have no success in poker. I pay little attention to him.

Most definitely. I used to stare at my computer screen for countless of hours. Instead of overeating I would under eat. Of course the girlfriend disapproved it at times which caused other health problems...

My bankroll has developed the occasional health problem but not me. I make the most of the 5 minute break in tournaments just to get up and walk around, stretch, get refreshments etc. I feel I'd have a bad back or something by now if I didn't.

I’m the opposite. I started playing poker again because of health problems. I am on disability after having 3 failed back surgeries so looking to fill time and can’t exercise due to physical limitations. Poker helps keep my mind active though.

To be fair you can't really blame poker for any health issues. It is your responsibility to look after yourself and obtain adequate nutrition and exercise. Anyone not doing this would probably have the same results if they were distracted by other activities like a stressful job or video games/other hobbies.

I’ve been watching a lot of world poker tour lately and the final table rarely have anyone overweight. Seems like the better players understand the importance of exercise as well.

Poker (especially MTT) often translates in lack of proper sleep. And lack of sleep can have very damaging effects on one's health. I recommend the book Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker. Or at least listen to some of his podcasts where he was invited (google him).

How about this? On the days you choose to play poker you do a 15 min workout and eat properly (balance diet).

No poker- you eat all the junk you want and don't excercise.
