Do you think NLH will die off and PLO will replace it?

A lot of people seem to talk about PLO more than I've seen it before. People in comments say that it's the future of poker.
Personally I think NL Texas Hold'em will always be popular because it's so simple to learn, PLO seems a lot harder to learn.
What do you guys think? I'm starting to profit in NLH so it would suck if everyone changed over haha

Holdem will always be the game to play. PLO is ok but it will never replace Holdem

I prefer PLO over Holdem just for the fact not a lot of people know how to play it. I also love the fact that you get more hands in per hour than you would Holdem! More action keeps my attention, and less likely to get Bored! But PLO will never replace Holdem.

Hold'em is played garazdo more people. Therefore, greater choice of tables. And tournaments. Almost all newcomers prefer Hold'em. Conclusion - Hold'em will live! And if the PLO and replace it, not in our lifetime.

Never happen. PLO is definitely gaining popularity, and will continue to do so. But, it will never replace/surpass NLHE.

NLHE is a lot easier to understand for the general public, and will attract more people. PLO is great, but it requrire people to understand NLHE first, so i guess NLHE will have to be popular before PLO to have a chance.

Someone, I think, on Live At The Bike pointed out the problems with PLO. Recreational players hate two things: 1. Tough decisions and 2. Suck-outs. PLO has lots of both.

On the other hand, Limon - also LATB - notes that few people know how to play PLO, which means it can be profitable for serious players.

Cheers!

NO!

Maybe in someones dreams! NLH will never be replaced by PLO. NLH is most popular poker game and in near future i think not single variant of poker will replace NLH (or come near to NLH)! :)

Omaha is holdem with a double luck factor.. huge swings.. and being PL insures a lot of rag action.. being able to read the board is key but still a lot of sets get beat out.. NLH also has sooo many people over play there hands along side the cooler hands it sure makes the game a rush... but I would say people will always prefer NLH

No way that PLO will replace NLH. NHL is most popular in the world. When you start play poker everybody first learn NLH, that is the fact:). I like to play PLO but NLH is king of poker games:)

Never will NLH die down. It is still the game of choice. PLO is getting a bit of traction because more and more players are opting to have diversity in the games that they play but PLO will never replace NLH. Just my two cents. :)

In my opinion NHL and irreplaceable, but PLO and show also think the two only have more addition to the growth of poker fans worldwide.

I think that PLO is been bigger now, so maybe we can wait to NLH stay back to PLO.
