Absolutely is addictive. I started several years ago and can't quit. I keep trying to pare it down some, but wind up playing more and more. Luckily for me, I make money at it and it doesn't Cost me money.

It depends on you. If you are a disciplined player, you are safe. But if you can't control your emotions then it can be dangerous.

That will depend on oneself, we must be aware that in any game we can fall into addiction, it is we who must have a habit to be able to take poker as a sport that helps us and does not destroy us by going through a dead-end addiction.

Indeed it can be! But ive found personally, that less is more! :) And mental physical emotional and spiritual balance outside of poker is quintessential! Its easy to lose relationships or opportunities because of overplaying, in my experience. :)

GL! :)

yes it can be addicting you need to self exclude take breaks.... I use to go crazy lose alot tilt and all that. Now i only gamble what i can afford to lose. So when you deposit go into the game thinking your going to lose all that money. That way when you lose it doesn't affect you. Lol what i did before i was playing like i am a professional big shot and under the impression i will make money only to lose all .

Without a doubt online poker can be very addictive.

It's got the gaming elements of video games

It's got the reward systems (progress bars, vip levels, etc.) that make video games so addictive

It's got the potential for financial rewards (at random intervals) which can make it addictive

And it's got the gaming element which makes it addictive

Add to that all the special effects and alerts that can be built into the software and... you've got the recipe for an addictive activity right there.

It can be played in such a way the the addictive nature of it doesn't control you, but it's certainly something to be wary of.

Yes, poker can be highly addictive for some people. Therefore, it is allowed to play from the age of 18.

Poker is a very interesting and exciting game and I think that for some emotionally unstable people this game (like any other interesting game) can be a little addictive!!!

Hey
I think there are many things in the world that cause (cigarettes, alcohol, eating a lot of food), it all depends on the nature of the people, personally I have a poker love.

I think it depends on the character of a person, or rather, how passionate he is

I think any gambling can be addictive. But such dependence threatens only mentally unbalanced people who are interested not in the game itself but only in money.

Poker can only be addictive for those who do not have a plan for the long term, or at least for the short term.

Yes it very well can. I had some really good runs where I thought I could make a living playing online. Then reality sets in when I had a tremendous dry run. I found myself chasing that hot streak only to find myself in a hole of a time suck.

Poker is addictive. To avoid falling for the addiction it makes sense to set a stipulated time for Cash games. For tourneys one should decide on the number of bullets.

It's gambling, it is 100% addictive. Chasing loses tends to be an addict curse. Study bankroll management, is key, but the most important thing is discipline. Only play with money, you can afford to lose.

Of course, there is nothing wrong if you play for a long time once a month, but if this happens every day, you need to understand that this will not lead to anything good and make yourself a schedule.
