I think it will never be, but inside me I do want it to be a recognized and Olympic sport. But I also understand that there are even more premier sports than poker that are waiting to be played at the Olympics. eg like paddle tennis, chess, etc.

Hi.
In my opinion, poker is a sport, and poker should be recognized as an Olympic sport. I hope this will happen in the near future.
Good luck.

It went and went by team. It was supposed to be the ultimate sport at the Olympics, but every day poker becomes a big sport of the mind.

I was hoping to see it in the next Olympics, but then I found out neither Pickle Ball nor Tiddly Winks are Olympics sports yet. This outrage must be addressed.

Hello!Yes, poker is definitely a sport, if to based on the definition of the word sport. But let's not forget that this is also a card game, which is equivalent to gambling. And not just to gambling, but to gambling, the purpose of which is to win money. It is this moment that prevents poker from ever becoming a part of the Olympic Games.
Of course, the Olympic Games are also a very commercial event, but the goals of the sports that are part of the Olympic Games are still a little different.

poker game has its own life, but I would like to see other mind sports walking with poker, like other card games, board games, rubik's cube, memorization, mental calculation, backgammon, chess...

Mind sports need a really good Olympic Event.Images204

Never. In poker over the distance of one tournament, almost everything depends on luck. It's definitely not a sport.

Poker it's not categorized as sport, but mostly as gambling with today concepts of sports. On the otherhand it hasn't an extensive arm and reach to mass population and therefore it can't be never accepted as sport!

these Olympic sports issues are very complex, very difficult to accept, but if it happens it would be cool!

In general, I believe that poker is more of a sport than a gamble. But honestly, I don't think poker will ever be recognized as an Olympic sport.

I read the comments and notice that they are all negative about poker not being an Olympic game. Honestly, I don't lose hope.

Yes, it is a wonderful greasy sport, but it will not be in the Olympic Games because people consider it just gambling, but everyone who plays poker and learns in forums knows that it is professional and requires intellectual effort and focus.
