You can gain experience over time.

I couldn’t. Life circumstances, every day different things happen and I rarely show my best game.

My situation is quite funny. I was a pro like 10 years ago, you know big tournaments, Vegas, coaching, staking, I had everything. However, I didn't had a social life. So I made a weird choice. I choose my family and a normal life with a normal job over poker because I thought this is not a safe way to make money. After 10 years I realized that life itself is not safe anyway. So I try now to get back to the top in poker world. I do now a little bit of both planning to do more poker soon. But the circumstances had changed and it is definitely 10x harder than the early years. So I wish to get back on my good shape. Good luck to me :hahaha:

once upon a time, I thought that I would become a poker player) but the budget was not large, and my dreams quickly evaporated. I played well, i was often in the top. then I they played with friends and I was always the leader) I always dreamed) sometimes I play now, not so long ago I took 1st place in the tournament for 4k, well, I enter the top 10, 10 times out of 20, I still dream to play in Barcelona in August, I hope I'll be there at the table soon.

not everyone can be a pro its just not for everyone especially the average player because he lacks skill and mindset and the average person even if he is good at the game he cant be a pro because he lacks the dedication and effort and focus and power of will....and so many more things, I hope you understand what Im saying, its one of the toughest games in history, only very few elites can become professionals at it.

If you play mtts with the goal of min cashing first then trying to go deep, I don't think
you will make enough deep runs. You have to make it it to double your buy in just to cover every time you bust out of the money. Cashing 9 out 10 times I don't think is realistic.
Say you cash 9 times for min cash. Bust once and your just over break even for your buy ins.

I am looking to improve my game every day, trying to play in the best possible way, if it brings me a considerable financial return it will only be the result of all these years of dedication.

Thought about it many years ago, even bought the book about playing poker for a living.
It sounds like fun but could play havoc with your mental health if you went on a bad downswing. I think it can be done if you can find a game that you can regularly beat but not a practical career for most if us. May work out better for a younger person living at home with their parents!! :)

For me, poker is entertainment. I don't want to turn poker into something more.

It certainly sounds like a great life style, Travelling all around the World, playing in some of the biggest tourneys, eating in fine hotels and restaurants, But if you look into it seriously, you then start to see a darker side, Living out of a suitcase, Paying out for all these fine Hotels and Restaurant meals, travelling exspence's Etc Etc the list goes on and on, not to mention missing time out with family members missing anniversaries and birthdays, suddenly it does not look that attractive anymore.
What used to be a fun game soon becomes a job you can not leave behind and a bad losing streak means no pay day, cheaper Hotels cheaper flights etc etc not that glamorous any more.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

No, to me, poker is just entertainment and fun. I play for amounts of money that I don't care about. Maybe I'll have a lucky poker coup. For example, if I take part in a satellite tournament for little money and thus qualify for a larger tournament. But that has nothing to do with professional poker. I also can't play online poker 8 hours a day at 10 tables at the same time to beat the variance. I still have a normal job and other hobbies. That's why it's not an issue for me.

Hello, good morning, if you can be a professional and make a living from poker, but for that you must be very responsible, more if you have a family, dedicate yourself almost fully to it, like any profession:D

Absolutely not ! I couldn't spend hours and hours of my time to study and read to become a pro. I prefer to play at my level.
