For some reason I like to have more chips than some of the other players at the table. And that is what I do. I rebuy as soon as I can and add on at 1st break if I make it there. But that's just the way I am. Maybe it gives me more confidence, and if I do lose a few hands, I still have a pretty good stack. GL to you

Some people make poker playing as a living especially those who wins but for me poker will always be a past time. Whenever get bored or I don't wanna go out. I guess its the best way to divert your attention from stress or work. i play for fun, but the desire to win will always be there.

“There’s no half-singing in the shower, you’re either a rock star or an opera diva.”Failure does not mean I'm a failure; It does mean I have not yet succeeded definitely yes))

I was just for fun and some extra income in order to play poker. So far, I played small stakes. But I am trying upward. There are some goals you wish to achieve in poker income ...

I want to buy a house and a new car.

Few weekends on the trot, up £400, on a NL50 10-seater casino table. I pull in more cash live than ever, versus online. If I did this all week, I would make serious money. If I tried, my luck could swing the other way, and can go broke just as fast. To be safe, answer is no. I'll stick to my weekend routine, and keep my day job. :D

For me it's just fun. If he found that I am able to live with poker money would go hungry because my game is bad. :D

I feel I could play poker for a living if I can get my starting BR. I have placed first in any venue where I have gone to play live tourneys. I am ITM more often than not. This is not to say I cash all the time, just often. When I buy in for $30 and cash over $1000 I call that profitable.:D:D

Playing for fun, if someone earns enough to live , so many others lose enough.
I'm certainly not in the first group :) :)

Nope! Don't need to, I'm retired. Besides, I enjoy the game too much to make it something I depend on for my livelihood!

Could I?
Sure, if I really applied myself, plugged all my leaks, and had the BR to really grind out MTTs all day long.

Would I?
No, that kind of life of playing poker day in/day out, going though huge downswings because of variance, spending 12+ hours a day staring at screen or in a card room just sounds really boring and tedious to me.

I think so probably with enough experience. I would need a large bankroll. Its really helpful to have some sort of other past time. I hope to eventually win enough to have a large enough bankroll to play and win at limits that i can support myself completely.

I know I couldn't. I'm not good enough & don't have the same desire & drive for the game that I once had say 5yrs. ago (but even then I sucked.. but thought perhaps I could start to play a few days per week... but it never happened. My job/life has always been too busy & I've never been willing to make the sacrifices. ie. If I have some free time I would rather spend it playing with my grandaughter or taking my dog for a walk vs. loading up a bunch of MTT's)

I know many people in real life who earn more than 2000$ in month, so they are living by poker.
I have a goal for 3000$, and trying to get better in poker.
