If something feels off, I’m clicking buttons. Big bet that doesn’t make sense? I’m calling. Line looks weird? I’m raising. Sometimes it’s genius… sometimes I torch chips lol.

I know poker is math long term, but in the moment I’m not trying to be a robot. Half the time those “bad” plays are just picking up on something subtle anyway. Like people said, it’s not really magic, it’s just pattern recognition without thinking about it

I do trust my instincts, but only when they’re backed by something I’ve picked up at the table. If a line feels off or a bet doesn’t really make sense, I pay attention to that feeling.

At the same time, I’ve learned that relying only on instinct can get you into trouble pretty fast. Poker is still a game of math and logic, so I try not to ignore that side of it.

Yes, my friend, you have to trust those instincts or try to lose as few chips as possible. I also feel that it's about experience and reading the tournament or the game

Sometimes during a hand I feel like my instinct tells me something is wrong.
Maybe the opponent suddenly bets big, or their line just doesn’t make sense.
The problem is that poker is also a mathematical game, so relying only on feelings can be dangerous.
Do you trust your instincts at the table, or do you always stick to logic and odds?
There’s a very thin line between Trusting your Instincts and Making Emotional Decisions!
Calculating the odds is very easy to say but extremely difficult to do when you’re actually in a tough hand (spot) and the timing bank starts running out!
So application of logic seems more sensible with accurate instincts!

There are definitely moments in poker when we drift a bit from pure math and rely more on our instincts. I don’t think that’s necessarily wrong, and it often works. It’s an interesting topic to explore—understanding when it makes sense to trust our instincts.

I think both instinct and logic are important in poker. Math and odds should usually be the foundation of your decisions, but instincts can still help in unusual situations, especially against certain player types. Sometimes a bet sizing or strange line really does feel suspicious. I try not to rely only on feelings, but I also don’t completely ignore them if something seems off.

I think by instinct you mean tells or betting patterns, nobody plays by instinct something has got their attention other then the little voice in their head, either betting patterns dont make sense or you picked some tell on the way, nobody plays by pure instinct
