I think that you can’t to win a tournament if you can’t to have lucky.

Until for you received good cards in good condicions

You need to be skilleder for you know get out of bad situations, but lucky it’s very necessary

In poker, skill and luck are intertwined, one without the other will not work for success.

Totally skill. who says the opposite didnt learn about well played long term.

I'd suggest otherwise.... you just called a 4x raise over a limper with T5o, then proceeded to call the flop with AIR on 943.
Nope. Not skill sir. Not even close.

VPIP of 72% is also indicative of something other than 'skill' :p

In short term need luck and skill to win (or run deep in MTT) The more skilled the player then the luck factor can be reduced compared to the field.

Skills are needed bankroll management , which games are beatable and improvement in your own game in the long term

I think you have to be schizophrenic. Sometimes you pray for luck and some times you follow the yellow brick road. Your in the zone and you make all the right moves. But then you realize your opponents running on luck. So was it luck or skill. Did your skill create the luck or did the luck make you look skilled.

In my opinion you have to have skill first to be lucky. So luck is a complement to skill. Luck without skill is a recipe for failure.

I had many situations in which I had a strong hand and I was paid by someone who was woe to his head and made me dusty due to luck. My opinion is that whatever science you have if you are unlucky is zero.

If your skill is good enough the luck factor can be overcome.
Many times a worse player will luck out on you, just accept it, stay with your skills and long term you will win

When my luck turns and my aces go bust I usually go tilt and there is no skill and I guess no luck either 😞.

Hi.
I believe that chance or luck are very important factors. But in general, in the long run, the skills and experience of the player are definitely crucial.
Good luck.

Both skill and luck are needed. But it's up to you to take your skill and outweigh the luck factor. As for me my bankroll management outlasts everything.

I think patience is a huge part in poker. Lots of people get bored or card dead. Sometimes you have to stick it out or maybe play another day. Don't let boredom make you torch your stack and make someone else rich.

Some of its luck but majority is skill. I think the more hands and flops I see the better too. As they say practice makes perfect i would like to hone my skills on bullying and being aggressive to make others fold faster. Good luck and crush em. :D

Poker results are based on both luck and skill. But unlike luck, skill is something you can control by studying/playing.

I can't rely on luck to always achieve good results. Luck can only be on my side when I have strong and good hands, but in general learning poker strategies is the most important for good poker results.

Do [my] results depend on skill or luck?

It's a little bit of both. I have come to the conclusion that I am just not a lucky guy. Or, looking at from a more positive vantage point, my opponents are more lucky than I am. The skill comes into play by identifying spots and positions to get involved where not getting lucky (or being unlucky) doesn't hurt you too much and you still have a chance to advance in those moments when you don't fall on the winning side of the draw. Quit honestly, the past couple months have been max pain on the felt for me. I have had a few bright spots but not with any consistency. I don't feel like I am playing terrible poker but I have been getting unlucky in very critical spots quite often of late. I keep telling myself that the results have to turn in my favor in the very near future because the bad beats are piling up. All I can do is keep grinding though. It's going to be so sweet when I do break out of this slump though.

Of course, luck in poker plays a role, and quite a significant one, but the quality of his game in general depends on the professionalism of the player, and, accordingly, the results of this game. The higher a player's stress tolerance, concentration, knowledge and understanding of the game and opponents, the less he will rely on luck.

If you play consistently badly you will lose consistently. If you play consistently well, you may win here and there. Some people are born lucky; others should steer clear of poker or any form of gambling.
