Well its easier said then done.
To overcome your emotions u need to remember that its only a game and forget that there is any money involved. And not get too excited about your hand or stack or whatever, just dont get excited untill you get the money in your pocket.

Yes emotion in poker games will get you into trouble real quick got to take a break when you get to that level it's all about patience and understanding how to play your cards right and learning how to bet your hand when learn those two things will make you a better poker player

That feeling happens but at the beginning, already with experience it is very difficult for that feeling to take over your game, in case that situation is repetitive, you should not play poker because not only is it once in a day it happens it is several times like this that you must have a lot of control and patience:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

I don't think I could play poker if I didn't have emotions, that's why I think playing would not be an attractive game for me if I didn't move from one state to another with the ability to relive the feelings of the pleasure of a winning hand.

You're saying everything right. But I have situations in which, with these emotions, I do not make deliberate steps in the game-but I get an increase in the stack. There are rules and formalities of the game-but as I said, there are exceptions. To play by the rules means to play as the game has taught you with the experience of it.I think you need to feel her manner and her character.

100% agreed.

But still we need to make that effort and try don't play with emotions...
I struggle a lot when I play with friends and family because I know the players and sometimes my emotions might speak a bit louder..

But overall I think I got a good grip of my emotional state

It's not easy. I always do as you say. I can go straight to ollin after a bad hand and lose everything. I'm not a robot. I play with emotions, intuition, sometimes, it turns out very well. Units can cope with emotions and nerves.

I also believe that our emotions, in most cases, prevent us from making good, thoughtful decisions. You need to play without emotions, clearly assessing your own chances and then good results will come by themselves.

I absolutely agree. It is often difficult to control one's emotions. Like here in poker, this leads us to irrational decisions. A good hint is actually not to think about the prize money but that it is "only" a game in which there is always a winner and always a loser. And today's loser may be tomorrow's winner ...

It's hard to play without emotions. When you get a bad beat and lose a tough hand. Sometimes it's hard to move on to the next hand but that's what you have to do.

Easier said than done. A person may believe that he is totally serious in the game ... but in a moment everything can change for better or worse, because nobody knows what can happen or what people you may meet in tournaments and what may happen to you. .. it all depends on the weather and how we maintain the emotions of the moment

I agree with you alot. When you face a bad bead, lost 2 hands in a row, you need to take a deep breath, take a glass of water, etc. Do something to distract your head and be careful with your bankroll. GLGL

I think a successful player should always keep his emotions under control. Emotionality is inherent in beginners and gamblers.

Emotion overrides reason. It's happened to me way too many times in not just poker but other aspects of my life as well.

How to avoid bad emotions when you are losing to the same person and you simply cannot win anything against him, despite the different options for playing, he just have a lucky day, and you cannot believe this riddle, how is it?

It took me over 15 years to get to that point where I did not worry about what happened at the table. Its not easy to get tho this point either and I think many players never get close to it. If you can keep you emotions under control you have a great chance to become a great poker player.

At my worst live bad beat, I tapped the table and wished everyone good luck. I had walled a few steps away and turned to retrieve my drink and the table including the dealer was just staring at me. Grabbed my drink and walked away. This beat was in a tournament series and a truly horrible loss. Everyone expected an explosion or some sore of rant. NOT ONE WORD came out of my mouth on that hand.

Only positive emotions have a good effect on the game. No negativity, just a clear calculation of risks and chances, patience and discipline. All this in combination will inevitably lead to stable profits.

Yes I agree with you on that but when I lose a big hand I tend to play more blindly

A poker player has to completely detach himself from money, he cannot play thinking about money because he will not let him make good decisions in his game for fear of losing money, the previous hand should only learn from his mistake if it happened for that reason or if it was due to the variance of the game, he must accept what happened with a bitter taste and move on focusing on the next hands he is going to play.
