After a beer, you often have to visit the toilet, which makes the game difficult. You can't focus on it and that's when you make the most mistakes. I also do not recommend.

It depends on what time of day it is for me. Usually if its early I'm drinking water or juice. However, if it's towards the evening or later then I'm drinking a beer or sipping on tequila....

I only drink at Christmas a small glass of mulled wine and a glass of white wine during the meal! Otherwise alcohol serves me to cook dessert! (I am a pastry chef)

I hear everywhere that you shouldn’t drink while playing poker. For a long time, I was of that opinion. Over time, I realized that consuming little alcohol helps me! Others oppose it because they lose control in their game, which is perfectly normal

Maybe it's easier not to get scared, but also easier to get into bad hands.

I don't drink but that's just a personal decision. I don't see anything wrong with having a couple beers or glass of wine with friends meaning I don't judge or care if people drink around me it's all good be responsible and don't act like an idiot and we're all good.

usually just coffee or another drink sometimes alcohol but not a lot just a bit sometimes for the nerves if its a big tourney and running deep.

but if do stupid things while drinking avoid it or you might lose are your money

I do drink when playing live poker. I drink Chocolate milk. I know it sound weird but it keep me refreshed and I dont get hungry when playing poker this way. I even have picture of my playing in the wsop with a glass of chocolate milk at the table. LOL

Alcohol and Poker

Stick with the coffee and tea while playing. I've learned the hard way that alcohol and poker don't mix. But for me, I can't just sip on a beer or a mixed drink and relax. I have to drink the whole case or the whole bottle and be relaxed way too much lol. Anyone ever drink like that and look at your BR and wonder where that $100 went. I have many times. I guess learning the hard way is the best teacher.

My brother would do that, I would try and stop him from playing but....he did learn his repeated lesson. lol

Drinking alcohol with any form of Gambling is always a bad mix, why do you think casinos in Vegas give booze away for free when you are at a roulette table or slot machine. it loosens the purse strings and you just get deeper and deeper in debt to the gambling.
I was at a Casino when a drunk walked in and asked if he could play at our table and the entire table yelled "yes please do!" We didn't mind who's money we would be taking.
It is so easy to fleece a drunk when they are giving money away, and they do it constantly. Some time it is so easy it gets embarrassing, at our local pub, we had a drunk stranger ask what the buy-in was to a cash game we were playing and I said whatever you want, it is a cash game and we usually buy-in for £10-£20.
£50 was his first buy-in and it took us 30 minutes to take that from him, when he asked for another £50 I asked him if he thought that was a good idea, as we were regular players who know how each other plays, and all he said was "yes but you don't know how I play" 20 minutes later he was broke again.

Alcohol is not compatible with any kind of activity. Nobody forbids drinking, but when you are resting in a circle of friends.
