I don't have a creditcard and don't need it at the moment.
But poker is indeed a game of chance. Poker involves a certain degree of skill but it remains gambling no matter what you claim.

It will be interesting to see where this leads.........

Yes, it is gambling. Yes, there is luck involved. But it is mainly skill, not chance or luck, that separates the bad from the good, the good from the great, the great from the world class player.......

Could find all that much good info on this. Nothing too specific. What it seems like is some provinces in Canada are goin to legalize online poker and try to compete with a new site of their own????

http://www.pokerdepositoptions.com/news/poker-legislation/ontario-considers-licensing-online-poker/

Thats right. Not too much info yet but I bet this will happen fast...

Why would having a credit card make you a fish?

Because it allows fish to buy into poker sites? In conjunction with some of the other warning signs, this is not a good thing ;)

Escape from scam sites is all, there are no taxes to pay on winnings in Canada unless it is your full time job, even then the rules are scant and probably unenforceable by the CRA. The problem I see is that lottery corporations profits are in the 60% range,,,,,,,,that's a lotta rake.:D

Canada is deep into video gaming in the bars, and lotteries... poker is the next step. Even at 5% rake the provinces can't resist the potential profit for long...

Not the place for this argument. There are threads on this. BTW my MTT graph heads straight up at a 45 degree angle for years now -- how is that luck? (Don't answer -- go to the Is Poker Luck or Skill thread please). :musicus:

So mine point is proven.....
I know about it requiring skill otherwise i wouldn't be playing for so long with money which i got for free in the first place and then build up but that doesn't change the fact that it still remains a game of chance.

I personally love people like this at my table. Adjust your game to em and its chips, chips, chips!! (Fish and chips)

And when they go all in, they have to play it to the river.......
