I have a certain appreciation for the player Erik Seidel; I've always liked his poker style. He's good but humble.

Same here guy across like a Timex. Consistent, reliable and just always there it seems. He reminds me of the old saying "slow and steady wins the race" :ROFLMAO: and like you say so humble and down to earth. I guess you could say he looks and comes a crossed as just your avg dude or uncle. If you didn't know him one would never think he's a pro poker player. Reminds of Joey Knish in Rounders.

When people discuss the greatest poker players of all time, Erik Seidel always deserves to be part of the conversation. His longevity is remarkable. He's been competing at the highest level for decades while successfully adapting to major changes in the game. Winning is impressive, but staying relevant for that long is what truly sets him apart.

Just because he's not pictured alongside Negreanu on GG's homepage, doesn't mean he isn't still out there crushing. We can't all be sponsored GG pros. Guy is still totally active with total cashes in MTT's hitting close to $50Million

I'm not even necessarily talking about GG sponsored pros lol.
There are many excellent long standing pros out there ...like Ivey , Hellmuth, Jason Koon, Alan Keating, Chris Moneymaker...
Just to name a few.
None of them have a GG contract....and all more relevant than Seidel

I'm not sure if Erik donates any of his winnings but I think you might be thinking of 'Barry Greenstein'. Barry has donated a lot of his tournament winnings to a charity that for underprivileged children. He has donated over $8 Million! (Wow!)
