My family supports me in all my endeavors.
I am not a professional player, but my husband always supports me. His support is especially strong when I withdraw money to the visa card)
The main thing in poker is not to be addicted to the game and not to become a gambling addict.

Question is: you had their support during the process to reach a level when you can take the step to Pro?
Because if you have, you will have it further. This road is much longer and harder than the Step itself.
If you haven't, then you won't have it anyhow

My family is not against poker,they support me and wish me good luck,l know one family,my husband only plays poker at work,because his wife doesn't like it and tells him that you don't give me enough time,you only love poker.

Usually it all depends on the result. If you have decided to build a professional poker career, then only by showing successful results can you achieve the approval of your family.

Family is #1. We're retired and watch our granddaughter 3 days a week, so no poker on those days. Other than golf on Thursdays I have 3 other days to play as much poker as I want online. Home game every Saturday night. More than enough poker for me.

Assuming that one day I would decide to become a professional poker player, my family would take it very negatively. First, if I have a family, I, as part of it, am responsible for other family members. This means that the well-being of the family depends on me, which directly depends on the stability of my income. In poker, there is no question of any stability. To risk the quality of life of people who are not indifferent to me is at least unreasonable and if I myself understand this, then their reaction is predictable and justified.

Don't worry about it, if you are in the habit of making potentially life changing decisions without first discussing them with the wife, your marriage doesn't stand much of a chance of lasting anyway.

My family is different then others so they always support me when I am playing poker because they know that I invested my money in cryptocurrency and with profit I have buyed a house so they trust me in poker also

I think my family would be shocked if I made that announcement and not be very supportive if I did.

I do have a fan club for my poker playing. They love watching me play and all the reports of my play and they are why I would never make that announcement. They are my kids.

I think family (ought to be)come first! There would be a lot of discussion around this issue in my household for sure. But I would be - personally speaking - content whatever the decision would be.

As fun as poker is, it cannot substitute/”override” family! IMHO

Yes, it is possible for my family to support me with some explanation and understanding while accepting some of their conditions, including not neglecting the family and its requirements

I started playing for real money relatively recently, so my relatives do not quite understand the essence of what is happening. Some are afraid that I will lose an apartment, a car, etc., and some think that this is a game for virtual chips.

My family don't like poker, but if I won enough money to decided to be a professional player they would not be against this job. The important thing is to win enough to support yourself financially and do what you like. It's just like any other job.
