I have a soft spot for pocket 7s…this was my first winning hand in my first live tournament…I went from last (8th) in a ten player tournament to 5th…I was really nervous…my father’s pride was on the line, since my 10 year old son expected me to win…I just wanted to make sure I didn’t come in last, so I played very conservatively until two players were eliminated in one hand…it was shortly after that I went all in with the pocket 7s and they held up.

My favorite hand has to be AKs of course. Not the guaranteed winner, but it’s exciting because it can flop huge straights, flushes, or top pair with top kicker.
