And that -$20 hand was AA against an all in pre flop 65/50 (over ~100 hands). He was holding 64o and caught two pr on the river.

20 BI downswings suck

Yeah they really do.

At the same time though... I think it's a good thing that you posted that. Reminds people that it can and will happen to you at some point no matter your ability.

Back when I had a 20+ downswing it shook up my confidence in my ability and that screwed me up even more going forward. Definitely come to realize it's not as big a deal as it seemed at the time even though yes it does suck and yes it meant a temporary moving down in limits.

I know how you feelin m8.... there's not a lot of constructive advice to give. Mainly b/c it just makes you feel so numb. I'll tell you this though, playing on through it at the same stakes is a HUGE mistake imo. Yeah tomorrow might be the day when things turnaround.... but then again it may not. And losing another XXX amount of buy ins is only gonna hurt your winrate.

I dont really see a point in dropping down when I am still over rolled for the limit and I think I am playing my A game still.

Just for fun (although, as usual, I didn't make squat on it). But this is how my whole day has been. I'm up over $50 for the day. Beautiful, imo!

My month so far: Been pretty lazy with putting in hands. About 700 of those is my trial at 50, which I'm breakeven so far. Initial impression is that cbets work less often and the fish are a little more feisty, but too soon to really tell.

btw anyone familiar with editing the bet pot script. Looking for 2.5x and 3.5x

I, on the other hand, am not playing any game at all. My computer decided to kick the bucket recently. I had been running on a seriously (1.9GHz-->2.9GHz) overclocked AMD X2 3600+. Had been running fine for the past 2 years on air cooling, but it recently corrupted some serious shit, so I have to completely reformat & tweak some stuff. Bleh... I think I'll go back to XP at least. Vista was a bit goofy.

So much for playing 25k hands in Febuary.

Might get ripped to shreds, but..
Was alerted that there was a 93/36 at a 10nl table, was anywhere from 250-430 BBs deep. Only a few hands in, this happens.

I kinda prefer just 3-betting to like $3.50. It still commits you, and it lets him shove worse over the top. But if we knew he was calling, 3-bet shoving is the best play.
