In my opinion, the gender of the player is not particularly important. In my opinion, the most important factors are character, temperament and discipline, and it is these components that shape the strategy and style of play of the player.

honestly I don't think there is any difference, maybe just resistance, men tend to last a little longer than women :), I mean poker :)and concentration:)

I'm curious to know what you're thoughts are on womens style of play? (in lower stakes). Of course it's very individual but if you were to generalize..?
Not much different than men's style of play. I think they might get away with bluffs more often because they don't get called down as often as men. It is my consensus, along with others, that many men don't believe women are capable of bluffing. I play on an anonymous site without chat and after a few minutes into a game I can usually tell which players are loose, which are tight, which are aggressive, which are reckless and so on, but I'd be hard pressed to differentiate the male players from the female players.

I think women are potentially very good players. In my opinion, women are more patient and make more informed decisions than men. But in general, I also think that the most important skill of a player is his patience and not gender
On average that is very true, and on average women have less of an ego than men do. That can be an advantage because they aren't trying to prove how good they are like a lot of men are, and they don't take a loss as making them less of a woman. Another advantage that women have is that, once again on average, they are better learners than men. I've had many shooting instructors tell me that women listen much more carefully to advice and modify their style more easily than a lot of men do.

The late Elmer Keith in his book Hell, I Was There told of guiding a husband and wife on an elk hunt. The wife listened intently to his advice, while the husband thought that he already knew everything. When the hunt ended she had bagged a nice bull elk, while hubby was going home empty handed. :)

I truly dont believe in the gender difference. every single human being could play different and we couldn't make assumptions or generalizations.

The question is interesting, but first you need to understand what a female style of play is. And in general, such a style exists or it was invented by men.
