Hello,

I need some help w/ a successful strategy when I get to the final 2 tables of a Mtt. Most of the time I find myself with a stack of between 10-20 bbs when I reach this point. Here is what happens often:

Let's say w/ a stack of 15 bbs. I pick up a blind stealing hand (ex. AJo) and I raise 2 1/2 times bb. I get reraised all in and I have to fold leaving me with a stack of 12 1/2 bbs. then I go card dead. What do you do at this point when u are getting no playable cards. What kind of strategy should I employ? raise w/ nothing trying to steal blinds and keep a stack of over 10 bbs. Or do I wait wait and wait for good cards allowing my stack to go under 10 bbs and watch my position in the tournament just fall and fall and fall . Please help as I am getting very frustrated with this.

thanks

Well first of all I would call, because there's a strong chance you are getting three bet if you have a tight image (and based on the fact that you are folding AJo with 15 BBs, I'll assume you do). Second, feel free to push to steal with high blinds and antes and 15 or less BBs.

As for general strategy, you don't really have to worry until about 10 BBs. I certainly wouldn't be afraid to three bet all in with drawing hands against players who open loose, especially if they don't have many more chips than you.
