Flight Takeoff At Night: Las Vegas to ATX - Flyby the Strip!

Finally was on my way to winning my fist live tournament, but needed to request a 3-way chop so I could hurry to make my flight! I obviously am horrible at time management with tournaments, now I know better! I barely made my flight but I really love the view at takeoff flying from McCarran airport back to ATX!

Filmed this with an iphone XR, once the plane gets in the air, the view of the strip is pretty amazing!

Vegas night takeoffs and landings are really neat. Especially if flying in from the east coast. Miles of nothing and then all of the lights.

Yeah, at night, all those lights are great. Unless, of course, you are piloting a small private plane anxiously looking for the airport landing lights.

I really do love the large field low buy in tourneys! The one at Orleans is fantastic, same with South Point and Sahara! I played at the late 10pm MGM Grand tourney and game was good, just only about 15 entrants that late (need to play their 6pm game for sure). I would be content just playing at those places and those tourneys for a long time, although really want to play Aria next trip, but I think the skill level is much harder.

I really enjoy Las Vegas, the people have all been great each visit, really want to get back soon and play.

Here is another video from June filmed with a Go Pro Hero 9 flying from the Las Vegas Airport heading back to ATX. It is a wide view of Las Vegas, but passes over the strip, and I love the sunset in the horizon with the moon at the end over Las Vegas!
