Fraud in online poker

Please more experienced online gamers, that the online poker cheat, it's technically possible?

It technically is. There has been cases of players that could see other player cards at the table. It is not possible instead that the system deals you bad cards and good cards to other, it is totally casual. If you see something strange at a table, just get out and report to the website. It is almost impossible that this happens at small stakes tho

Collusion is the most likly form of cheating online. You can figure out how this can happen.

It's very unlikely someone is going to cheat at smaller stakes. However if you are playing bigger stakes and see something suspicious then stop playing and report it.

FRAUD

This comes in many different forms on on line poker first off collusion is a huge part of it I have seen players collude were they ck down a big hand when one has the nutz and could have taken other out I also see were people get together on Skype as a group and go into diff tourneys and will not play against each other. The second form of fraud ois a highly developed soft ware were players can see your cards. Now I do play online and this happens allot less than one would think. I d not take online to seriously and play more for fun. It is improbable that every tourney or cash game your in this will happen but their are things you can see as to who is colluding and who isnt

Lastly their is fraud by the poker sites themselves were they suck all the money out and keep it for themselves and eventually the site is shut down. Black Friday is a cas in point

The one you play in. Basically, they gain on rakes, if there is a fraud they are being frauded as much as you. But guys, this is so so unlikely, you have to think 3 times before reporting something. A lot of people have a couple bad hands in micro stakes and report frauds, while in 20 years of online poker there is just one confirmed case

Here is a little scenario for you all! I once tried reporting this guy who told me that he has two account on ps, playing in the one tournament. I got annoyed at it and did what I thought was right and reported him. The response that I got was a bit disappointing. Ps wrote that even though it is illegal to have two accounts it is possible for them to track down that player and track down their other account. I would assume they could since they have the rights to. Anywho, that's in the past now.

FYI It would be VERY easy to use set up multiple computers at the same location, using IP masking, t, cheat a table. It would be even easier to partner. If said cheats do not always play the same accounts together they would be hard to detect. Most would not bother with low stakes, but in poor countries, I would expect people or teams to be cheating. That said, if they are cheating they likely suck enough where they are not going to win much more than a solid player after the rake. The cheaters may still lose.

I like HU poker poker the most, because there really can't be any cheating. Well... unless the other player is a bot.
When I played 6-max SnG's it was pretty obvious that players were colluding. But I did get my Buy-in back many times, sometimes even when I didn't spot colluders

But thats Pokerstars, don't know about other sites.

Many times what I thought it was a hoax. Some things often happen to be an accident ... And then I think, though, too much money at stake for someone to serve fraud.

at least in the most important rooms internet. I would say almost impossible. since they have a very high security. imagine if someone makes a complaint to a room and it's true, the game room breaks porwue surely no one will play more.

In 2011 at pokerstars there were chinese colluders at Fifty S&G and after that there were some russian bots using short stack strategy to take away million dollars from poker community. Luckily Pokerstars had quickly detected and banned them all. I think the game now is quite fair but it has become tougher as players get better overtime.

what do you mean russian bots using short stack stratergy to take away millions of Dollars from poker community ? how they can take Money by using short stack stratergy ? pls explain

ok now read about the russian bots busted at pokerstars in 2010. then how can we know it is still not going on ? very fishy

how can you say that for sure that we all r safe in low n micro stakes ? it might not happen in cash games . but what about large fiel mtts ? if ther r some house Players and using superuser System can see our hole Cards , they can make huge Money from even micro stakes mtts. like big5,50 in PS can make over 6k to the winner or even more in the wkend. so cant be sure about any online Thing. it is just that not all People have choice to leave online n playin live . cos live games are not available everywhere

Collusion is definitely the most common cheat in online poker. As for software to see all whole cards not sure Id have to do some research, but collusion definitely happens

i havent witnessed any kind of collusion yet but i know about some big fraud cases specially at absolute poker with god mode which allowed some players to see cards of other players

I think collusion is also a part of fraud can it happen online sure but if you fond a good site it wont happen so much. I know black ffriday gave online a bad mark but recently I have been playing at full flush and found it is a better field of players they also do not havd p2p transfer which takes allot of the collusion out of it. I also keep a certain amount online and if anything was to happen I could afford the loss so far so good and I have cashed out a few times. My advice is to keep what you can afford to loose and cahs when the time is right for you.
