I've been playing freerolls on Poker.com and this my sound stupid but what is a Freezeout torrnament? I don't know a lot about poker because i haven't been playing long. You know the old line you can't teach old dogs new tricks. Well I'm trying to change that lol. I also would like to know about Ring games. if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated and I'll probably be back with lots more questions. Thanks in advance

Ring games are your traditional sit down and play games. They are not tournaments - they are the tables where there is a min and max buy-in and you play somewhere between 2 - 9 people. As for the freezeout thing, I do not know. I am just as interested to find out about that as you are.

A freezeout means there are no rebuys. You pay your buy-in, and when you're out, you're out. You can't rebuy for more chips.

Why go to the trouble of naming it that, then? Aren't most tourneys like that anyway?

I always wondered that myself. Maybe it also means there's no late registration? When the tournament starts, registration is over? Hmmmm....:hmmmm:
