Hey. I haven't friends in real life. But I want to teach some friends to play online poker. If someone also plays, then it helps you (psychologically). I hope that when I start playing actively again, I'll find friends on this forum...

It's a friend that really got me into poker. Now that we both play poker, when we met with other friends we often do a little game, but not for money.
We made poker a drinking game, so we get them drunker than us and then we look better when playing beer pong !

I think poker was not meant to play among friends because it involves money and the loser sometimes forgets until he has a friend playing against him.

Yes , I have friends who are playing poker too. We talk about the games we play and share our experiences when we meet. We are basically playing online poker.

i do. but the one thing that i have realized since i have been playing and a rule that i go by is 'there are no friends in poker. lol

but it is good to have friends that share the same interest in poker. they can help you analize hands and just give you advice.

Yes, I have a couple of friends in real life with whom I am friends for a very long time and they also play poker, but we do not play with each other so we do not have offense against each other, sometimes I watch how friends play online poker or it happens that my friends watch as I play!

I play some fun home games with uni mates occasionally. They only play very recreationally and don't have a very good understanding of the game, so we're not playing for cash.

I play a small cash game with a group of about 8 friends
every two or three weeks in the winter months. We don't
play in the summer months because there is to many other
things to do. We have snacks and a few beer or wine and
play till we get tired. We played turny rules at the begining
of our club, but when you got knocked you had to wait to
long to get into the next one, so cash game is best.

I would like to find some friends locally so we could have some home games but where I'm from if you win then your probably going to have to fight your way out. Lol. So I will probably stick with online & casino poker with strangers
